Greg Johnson, 52
Gregory Duane Johnson, 52, of rural Fergus Falls, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his home.
He was born Aug. 3, 1955, in Jamestown, N.D., the son of Richard and June (Krapu) Johnson. He attended grade school in Wyndmere and Wahpeton, N.D., and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1973. He attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and the Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo, Iowa, graduating with a degree in photography.
On May 23, 1992 he married Mary Bjorgum-Harig in Fergus Falls. He has been employed with Pepsi Cola in Fergus Falls since 1980, as manager. He has been a member of First Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls for 16 years, and is a member of the Hawley Golf Course.
Greg enjoyed golfing, photography, yard work, campfires, reading, vacationing at the North Shore, Cancun Mexico, Eagle Lake and Hilton Head where he planned on retiring during the winter months.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Herbert and Elmie Johnson, Bill and Bertha Krapu, and Tom Sha.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Johnson of Fergus Falls; his children, Heather Carlson of Fergus Falls, T.J. (Larisa) Harig of Campbell, Mike (Kayla) Harig and Chris Harig of Fergus Falls; his grandchildren, Jayden, Simon, Owen and Thomas; his mother, June (Ken) Lider of Wheatland, Wyoming; his father, Richard Johnson of Plymouth, and Emelia Johnson of Minnetonka; his sisters, Janet (Greg) Loftus of Sheridan, Wyoming, Julie Johnson of Golden, Colorado, Erika (Misha) Petelin of Plymouth, Suzanne (Del) Lindgren of Minnetonka, and Julie (DaChung) Hou of Bejing, China; his in-laws, Maggie Bjorgum (Floyd Kearnes) of Underwood and Alyn (Kathy) Bjorgum of Pelican Rapids; numerous other relatives, including two sisters-in-law, Wendy (Brett) Duenow of Fergus Falls and Anita (Cary) Aasness of Dalton; a brother-in-law, Tom (Diane) Bjorgum of Buffalo, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service, and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls
