Olga M. Keckhafer, 94

Olga M. Keckhafer, 94, of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls.

Olga Mary Hameister, daughter of Gustave and Esther (Krause) Hameister, was born June 11, 1913, in Byron, where she grew up and received her education.

On Feb. 25, 1932, she married Edwin Keckhafer, in Rochester, where they made their home. They also lived in Potsdam before retiring in 1968, when they moved to northern Minnesota.

In January of 1999, both Olga and Edwin became residents of the Minnesota Veterans Home of Fergus Falls.

Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, who died July 27, 2000; a daughter, Louise; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna; and two brothers, Rudy and Carl.

She is survived by seven daughters, Genevieve Streiff, Detroit Lakes, Mary Keckhafer, Fargo, Darlene Van Schaick, Plainview, Donna (Dean) Miller, Albert Lea, Joan (George) Russell, Cresco, Iowa, Janice Hutchins, New Market, Maryland, and Patricia (James) Barker, Sauk Rapids; a son, Kenneth, Twin Lakes; 30 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service

Service: 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Minnesota Veterans Home Chapel, Fergus Falls

Burial: Grandview Memorial Gardens, Rochester
