Glenn O. Sha, 84

Glenn Sha, 84

Glenn O. Sha, 84, of Montose, Colo., died Friday, May 9, 2008, at his home.

He was born March 1, 1924, in Fergus Falls, the son of George and Edna Sha, and had two brothers and two sisters, Stanley, Neal, Marilyn and Burma.

In 1947, Glenn married his beloved wife, Alta, and they shared a blessed 61 years of marriage. Glenn and Alta had three children, Les, Glenda, and Paula; and eight granchildren, Jessica, Jordan, Samantha, Dillon, Alex, Madison, Lily and Ellie.

Glenn and Alta shared their life living in Fergus Falls; Minot, N.D.; and Storm Lake, Iowa. They moved to Montrose in 1997. They have many life-long friends throughout these areas.

Glenn served in World War II in the European Theatre. Following the war, he enjoyed his family and friends, baseball, golf, wood crafting and was always active in his church.

Glenn is remembered as a man who lived his life in a way that demonstrated quiet strength, integrity, ethics, and servanthood.

He always did what was right as opposed to what was popular. Glenn was most often a man of few words but he had no problem showing his family and those who knew him what it meant to be a steady and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He taught his family everything they needed to know in the best way possible, through his actions.

Glenn will be missed by many but we rejoice with him as we know his faith has carried him into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ.

A vigil was held Monday, May 12, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Montrose. A Memorial Mass was scheduled Tuesday, May 13, also at St. Mary. Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory of Montrose was in charge of arrangements.
