Geraldine Emerson, 67, Mohall, ND

Geraldine Alice Emerson, 67, of Mohall, N.D., died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at her daughter’s home in Mandan.
She was born Feb. 13, 1941, near Fergus Falls, to Elmer and Alice (Wennerstrand) Gullickson. She was raised and educated in Fergus Falls.
She married Don Emerson June 30, 1962, in Mohall. They lived briefly in Renton and Vancouver, Wash., prior to returning to the Mohall area.
In addition to raising their children, Geraldine assisted Don in the operation of their farm in Grassland Township of Renville County.
Geraldine was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Minot, N.D., and a former member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Greene, prior to its closing.
Geraldine loved fishing, reading, trips to the casino and had a wonderful sense of humor. She especially loved spending time with her family and loved a houseful of grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Don; children, Steve (Andrea) Emerson, Gillette, Wyo.; Kathy Emerson, Mandan; Lori (Jeff) Strange, Minot; Lisa Emerson, Minot; Dan (Kristi) Emerson, Monument, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Alice Gullickson of Fergus Falls; a sister, Elaine (Bill) Boll of Otter Tail Lake; brothers, Delano (Dorothy) Gullickson, Rozet, Wyo.; a twin brother, Gerald (Delane) Gullickson and Dennis (Sandy) Gullickson, both of Fergus Falls; Daryl (Cheryl) Gullickson, Alexandria; sisters-in-law, Margaret Brown, Mohall; Linda (David) Aalund, Mesa, Ariz.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Gullickson; sisters, Lila Torgerson, Vianne Cole and LaVonne Meyers.
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or to St. Alexius Hospice in Bismarck, N.D.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, May 23, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Minot, with burial in Grano Cemetery. Brose Funeral Home in Mohall was in charge of arrangements.
