Speaker makes green point with ride - Ken Pentel, a 2006 Green Party candidate for Minnesota governor, bikes up the Central Lakes Trail at Dalton Monday afternoon. Pentel, the keynote speaker today at Minnesota State Community and Technical College’s Earth Day celebration, biked from St. Cloud to Dalton, but rain and cold temperatures cut his trip to Fergus Falls short. Evavold estimates that 75 percent of the people who take the course are hunters and that 15 percent of them hunt with handguns. Most men and women taking the class carry handguns for protection.
