Legion group volunteers for vets - Brad Moe, left, Deanna Mounts, Todd "Speedy" Peterson and Keith Stempfley from the Underwood American Legion were among the members who planned the POW/MIA Motorcycle Run last summer which raised more than $7,000 for the Recreation Program at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls. This is an annual event and the planning is ongoing. This group and others meet at the American Legion in Underwood. Even though it's winter and you don't see any bikers out and about, you can be sure they are planning next year's event. (And it's always better than the year before.) Last year there was a breakfast, a special POW/MIA Remembrance Program, a supper, and a dance. Before you know it this group will be "volunteering for veterans” by hosting another POW/MIA run in July. View photo
