Pelican Rapids eighth-grader Taylor Budke goes up for two in Saturday’s Pacesetter regional tournament game with Detroit Lakes at the Hillcrest Lutheran’s Activities Center. The Pelican club lost to Detroit Lakes but won three games to take consolation honors and earn a trip to the state tournament in June. The U12 Fergus Falls I J.O. volleyball team won the championship game Saturday in the Alexandria Spring Meltdown Tournament. by defeating Wheaton 25-3 and 25-19. Nine Fergus Falls wrestlers competed in a field of 1,100 wrestlers at the USA state tournament in Rochester.. Dan Revering took first with a 4-0 record at 145 and qualifie for the national tournament April 4-6 in Cedar Falls, Ia. Alex Hensch (3-2) placed fifth at 135 and Abbot Aho (2-3) finished sixth at 98.
