U14 Cyclones tie Pelican Rapids 2-2
Published Friday, June 8, 2007
PELICAN RAPIDS — The Fergus Falls U14 No. 1 team battled to a 1-1 tie with the Pelican Rapids Tigers Wednesday in Northwest District play.
Dallas Cordahl scored Fergus’ first goal at the 34th minute of the first half on a pass by Jordan Tommerdahl.
Trailing 2-1 in the second half, the Cyclones picked up their intensity and Tommerdahl tied the game with five minutes remaining.
“Colin Dethlefsen had a solid game in goal and although Pelican Rapids was aggressive on the attack I though our defense kept enough pressure on them to limit the quality of their shots,” said head coach Stuart Tommerdahl.
The Cyclones are 1-0-1 heading into a 7 p.m. match Monday at Detroit Lakes.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Posted by tompau (anonymous) on June 9, 2007 at 9:06 a.m. (Suggest removal)
Yet again, ANOTHER ERROR. The last article said JUSTIN Tommerdahl and also got Colin's name wrong.
In this one, the headline says the game was 2-2 (Correct), but the first line of the article says it was 1-1. Figure it out!!!!
