Underwood earns high academic honor

ST. PETER — Gustavus Adolphus senior Jack Underwood has received a high academic honor from the College Sports Information Directors of America and ESPN Magazine.
Underwood was named to the All-District 5 College Division first team. His name will now be placed on the national ballot for All-American consideration.
The 2004 Fergus Falls graduate started every game for the Gusties at midfield this season. He played in 48 straight matches as the team posted a record of 38-7-3. He has been a part of a team that has recorded 42 shutouts in their last 57 games.
Underwood is a three-time academic all-conference selection and a member of the Big Brother program.
