Dynamite found at rural home:
Five pounds of dynamite were removed from a rural Fergus Falls home Wednesday.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department assisted in removing the TNT from the home around 4 p.m.
The residents of the home at 713 Riverside Court, found the explosives on their property and wanted it destroyed.
The TNT was secured at the DeLagoon gun range until it could be picked up by the Crow Wing Bomb Squad of Brainerd.
Meth found during traffic stop:
A 19-year-old Fergus Falls man was arrested Wednesday for possession of methamphetamine after the drug was found by Fergus Falls police officers during a traffic stop.
Delvin Allen Balch, 19, Fergus Falls, was stopped around 3:32 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel and Oak for failure to use the turn signal.
Methamphetamine was found on the floor of the vehicle. He was arrested for fifth degree controlled substance possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of an instruction permit.
Chalices stolen from church:
Someone broke into the wine cabinet at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Bluffton, and stole three gold chalices. It was reported to OtterTail County Sheriff’s Department around 8:02 a.m. today. The value of the chalices was unavailable.

Who keeps dynamite in their home? Also, who needs dynamite in this area? Last I heard the mining industry was not a real big thing around here. Sounds like a Millerville scenario.

Hmmmmm......stealing from a church? How sick! METH was probably involved. However did that was prob in dire need for some money to support their messed up drug habit. I hope they get caught and put in jail next to the other freaks in there for METH!

I want to know where someone would think that they could unload a couple gold wine chalices at??? Wouldnt that throw up a few red flags if some druggie brings those into a pawn shop?

Golden chalices can be used as somebody's "pimp cup". All of the rappers have bejeweled glasses that they call their "pimp cup". I blame it on the rap music, meth, and the smoking ban for the decline of the FF community. I'm moving my family out of here. Holla at ya.

I did not know that Riverside Court was a "rural" area. If I was local law enforcement, I think I would see who the previous renter was (honey, once again, we forgot the box of dynamite when we moved). I think his current address is OTC Jail.

"Pimp Cup" how dumb, but believable. I think we have a lot of rappers in our area! LOL! I'm sure a pawn shop somewhere would take them. They would have to be pretty damb stupid to take them to the local pawn dealer. Come on people.
