Woman dies in vehicle crash:
Stacey Heinrichs, 23, Elk River, died Sunday morning after a one-vehicle rollover south of Vining on County Highway 40. Cause of the accident is under investigation
Heinrichs was a passenger in a 1997 SUV driven by Joshua Klint, 27, Bluffton. At around 5:30 a.m.. the vehicle was headed southwest on County Highway 40 when Klint lost control, went off a roadway and struck an approach, after which it rolled numerous times, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department. Neither were wearing seatbelts.
Klint walked to a Vining residence for help. Both were transported to Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls, by Henning Ambulance, where Heinrichs was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Klint reportedly had serious injuries, but there was no record of him at LRH Monday morning, nor at MeritCare, Fargo.
Dalton chimney fire:

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Posted by oneirratemother (anonymous) on February 5, 2008 at 10:09 a.m. (Suggest removal)
Oh where,Oh where did the little Josh go, Oh where, oh where can he be???? Maybe Mr. Klint bailed because he didnt want to be charged with DUI for driving drunk and high. You dont just leave a hospital if your injured and your friend just died, if you are innocent!!!! Someone knows where he is at, and needs to turn him in. Justice needs to be served. Maybe his home needs to be checked for him,and other illegal things.

Well I would guess LRH at least got a blood sample from him. If he was indeed drunk or high, he will be found and justice will be served!

In order to get a blood sample, would they not have had to have admitted him?? Or do you think CSI of Fergus Falls is going to find a sample in the ambulance he supposedly rode in on, in his car, or on his dead friend's body? If they can lose a patient who was transported by ambulance, I seriously doubt it. I would hope the friend who would have picked him up would have realized the extent of his injuries and had him treated somewhere.

I know that Josh is in the hospital having surgery as I write. Just because he was not at LRH or MeritCare in Fargo doesn't mean that he is not under the care of excellent doctors somewhere else. Don't always believe what you hear! Just pray that Josh will be alright, after all it was an ACCIDENT.

Josh is a great friend and I do not apprieciate the ignorant comments that are posted. Just because the paper doesn't know where he is, does not mean that he fled the hospital. If you knew the extent of his injudies, you would know that this would not have been possible. So please stop with the accusations and bashing of his character, it is rude and childish. Thank You

I'm sure the correct facts aren't in this article.. I saw the accident scene and it's a sad deal, and devastating. I pray for Stacey and Josh, and their family and friends.
Everyone here should know to take these reports/articles with a grain of salt.

I can not believe the ignorance, stupidity, and lack of compassion brought forth by community members merely hours after the news broke of this sad accident. I also can not believe the lack of professional reporting done by this newspaper. It would not take too much investigative skills to find out that Mr. Klint was not at this, or other area hospitals because he was air-lifted to a tramua center in the Cities. Biased reporting, only stating that he "walked to a Vining residence for help" doesn't report the facts that he did so with a broken pelvis, fractured back, and fractured spine - all to get help for his passenger. Perhaps "one irrate mother" and mothers everywhere will realize that passengers, like Ms. Heinrichs, and all of our children at one time or another, choose to get into cars on their own accord and carry the same responsibility for knowing what they are doing as anyone else in the car does. I pray for Ms. Heinrichs and her family. I pray too for Mr. Klint and his family. And I do pray for people who seem to only want to see the worst in others and want to accuse others before knowing all the facts. It is this kind of outright hatred that causes the hostility, turmoil, and war throughout the world that we are trying to stop. Perhaps this world would be a better place if we, right here at home, could show some compassion, or at the very least, hold our tongues until we know what we are talking about.
