Winter storm predicted through Sunday
Large amount of snow expected
Published Saturday, April 5, 2008
A winter storm watch is in effect for Fergus Falls and Otter Tail County for most of the day Sunday.
The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting significant snowfall for an area along Interstate 94 and to the north.
Some rain will mix with the snow Sunday morning before turning to all snow by late morning. We could receive as much as 6 inches of snow, according to the NWS.
Winds are expected to reach 25 mph, which could make travel hazardous, the NWS states.
The winter storm watch has been issued for the area on the map depicted in blue. The map comes to us from the National Weather Service.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Posted by heewayne (anonymous) on April 6, 2008 at 2:49 p.m. (Suggest removal)
