Man arrested for assault:
Fergus Falls police, responding to an alleged assault at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment parking lot along Springen Avenue, arrested a male who had reportedly wielded a knife. The suspect is charged with second degree assault and is in the county detention center. Charges are pending.
An apartment resident called police after witnessing the altercation. One man allegedly confronted a man in a vehicle who had reportedly been driving erratically in the parking lot, and just missed hitting a child. When the man approached the vehicle, the man inside the car reportedly pulled a knife.
The man left his vehicle and the alleged altercation ensued in the parking lot. That’s when the apartment dweller called police.
Police called to dispute near lake:
Fergus Falls police responded to a call from Lake Alice at 10:53 a.m. Wednesday after a pedestrian and driver of a vehicle were reportedly in a heated argument.
The pedestrian, who had been walking his dog, alleged that a vehicle driven by the other party was going well above the allowed speed limit and just missed hitting him while walking along the lake with his dog. The driver alleged that the pedestrian had thrown something at his vehicle.
Police investigated and determined there was not enough evidence to press charges against one or both individuals.

Lake Alice is known for walkers! There is a posted speed limit! FOLLOW THE LAWS! Lean how to drive and do so safely!
