Glad Bush is done

Published Saturday, April 12, 2008

Here in the United States of America, we don’t need more cops, fire people or home security, according to Dubya. We need that money for Afghanistan and Iraq. It makes one wonder who is more important to Dubya: The People overseas or us here.

We hear he ran two or three companies bankrupt, now he’s about to run our country bankrupt.

Thank God he’s about done. If we are lucky, he will be out of office before he does.

I would hate to be the person who is elected to take over the mess he has our country in.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.

Just remember this: the democrats already agreed to raise all of our taxes. That is a fact. Of course you didn't hear too much about it in the media for some reason. Oh yeah, because the media may just be controlled a bit by the govt (oh here goes the conspiracy theories.....), and really bad news - or news that counters what the govt wants us to believe - is often placed on the old back burner (which may be page 8). Explain this to me: why does the news constantly tell us that we have a gas shortage in the USA (due to various reasons...refinery trouble....switching over to different blends...a camel farted in an oasis), when over the last several months the US is consuming less gas and producing/refining more? These are facts that I have read in various business reports that are not printed in most newspapers. OKOK...I'll step off the soapbox now...but for the record we americans once again have poor choices for president. All 3 are poor.

Bush has got to be happy to out of there soon. When he got elected, Gore fought it, had a long drawn out fit about pregnant chads etc. Then when the courts put an end to that nonsense, all we heard was "selected, not elected" So he gets to be president after all that delay, didn't have the Ball (party) and didn't have much time to be debriefed. Next thing 9-11, now it was "what did he know and when did he know it".
He tries the "new tone" or "can't we all just get along", for that, the Dems. kicked him in the teeth. Had a fight every time to appoint judges. When he met with the Armed Services board about national defense, a Dem leaked it to the press. It's a good thing that the news man asked if it was OK to print, the Bush staff said NO! So, to stop that from happening again, Bush meets with only a handful of people, on defense issues, so now he is accused of being "secretive" "Go it alone" etc.
Dick Turban (Durbin) says "I trust Sadam more than I trust Bush" "Bagdad Ted" Kennedy, and others, gave aid and comfort to the enemy, ( I wonder how long the war was prolonged by the likes of him) NO, I don't like war, but couldn't they keep their mouths shut until we had our soldiers home again? I think history will treat Bush better than many do now.
I hope I haven't bored you with this rant.

You must get your spin from the Fox Fantasy News channel, Mel. Bush, Cheney and many of the rest are being investigated by the FBI. How many turn-overs were there in Bush's cabinet? I can't keep track. I sure hope they get indicted soon. They'll all turn on each other and cut deals. Just like the Gulf of Tonkin lie got us into Nam, Bush's lie got us into Iraq, and for no other reason than oil!
