The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Posted by littlesteiny (anonymous) on May 13, 2008 at 12:46 p.m. (Suggest removal)
We are very sorry to have lost a wonderful addition to this community. John ( Charlie) Carslon was a wonderful father, husband and friend. He was the get it done type of man and would give anyone the shirt of his back if needed. He will be greatly missed by his wife Melanie, daughter Chelsea and all of his friends here in Fergus. Especially his best friends Carrie and Mike. Charlie was very active in his church and he is in the hands of his saviour. All his family resides in Montana and will miss him as much as his Fergus family will. His Obituary will be appearring soon. Thank you to all the members of the 544 school district for their support, its helped out Melanie and Chelsea so much! Thank you again to the Fergus Falls community for helping us to honor the life of this wonderful man.
