Bush should go before World Court
Published Wednesday, May 28, 2008
The United States is experiencing many horrible storms and it just so happens it is a message from God telling us American people that because of George Bush’s sinful and murderous actions that America must wake up and bring him to justice for all the deaths and destruction he is guilty of in the Mideast. He should be brought forth as a war criminal before the world court.
So George Bush thinks he is such a good person, but he really does not practice the ways of Jesus Christ. He might think he is a saint, but he is not — he is a big sinner and one day he will meet his maker when he goes forth on trial in God’s court.
We all should pray to God that George Bush stops this terrible war that has resulted in so many deaths. Pray that George receives the light of God before he destroys America.

I think it's crazy that you speak for God and are able to know exactly how God would judge him.
Shame on you for accusing bush of not being a christian. Who are you to think so righteously of yourself?

I agree with Martha... Bush has been one of the worst presidents, I have no idea why we elected him. Maybe it was like buying a car that you thought looked great but after you drove it off the lot it fell apart.

Martha is right but for the wrong reason. George Bush should be tried before the International Court of Justice in Hague Switzerland as a war criminal. He is a war criminal because he has violated some of the same laws for which the top nine Nazis were tried in Nuremburg after WWII namely, crimes against humanity and waging an aggressive war, a war crime.

To suggest that God would send us these storms that have resulted in many deaths and great losses as a message about bringing George Bush to justice is absurd. Besides other parts of the world have recently experienced much worse storms than the United States. Weather happens, I refuse to believe that God uses the weather to send us messages about our political leaders.

Hey Chipmunk and FFHSStudent08: I can understand a high schooler being a bit naive about life in general, but what's Chippy's problem?? To you on the left who say, "Yeah, yeah, arrest him!..." I have one question: When do you want the next shooting war to begin in this country?

Wow. Just Wow. God is mad at the USA and is sending storms to devastate the nation as punishment for electing a stupid president...oops....I mean a sinful president. Of course this is correct. God has nothing better to do in all the cosmos...in all the grandier of the universe....except to punish the USA. I can't believe some of you would question this lady as to whether or not she knows exactly what God is thinking. Maybe she does! And maybe God doesn't have any pressing issues in any other part of the enormous universe so he is watching earth - and more specifically, the USA, and boy, is God ticked off! Furthermore (actually I just like to use that word), the USA is the most sinful, destructive, unlawful, immoral, and ignorant place on earth so it should be beaten down (pay no attention to places like Burma, Somalia, N. Korea, or China people!). Yep, yep, yep....hey at least we can say she has a 1st Amendment right to say this.

Notadrone, if you mean to infer that a “shooting war” would break out in this country if Bush were to be arrested and tried for war crimes, I wouldn’t hold my breath. Who is going to defend Bush? The same crowd that is volunteering in droves to fight in Iraq? Those same Bush supporters who just can’t seem to pull themselves away from their desk or the floor of the stock exchange? I suggest you punch up the Nazi War crimes trial on your internet and read what Justice Jackson had to say about “waging an aggressive war” before you decide which side you want to be on.

To Chippy: And I suggest YOU punch up the name "Neville Chamberlain" and the term "appeasement" while you're at. And there is now PLENTY of reasons for a shooting war to break out in this country! You name it, political divide, illegal immigration, the Dems trying to wiggle their way towards socialism, trying to overturn the second admendment, their race-related obessions, you name it. The kettle is full and about to boil over. You think I'm a Bush worshipper?? I think he should be impeached over the border issue ALONE. What I cannot stomach, is listening to the yapping lefties, ESPECIALLY ones who try your lame ass argument about serving! Let's try that argument, why aren't YOU serving over there right now, trying to influence events if you feel so strongly?! Incompetent in many respects Bush was perhaps - but to elevate him to the class that you and Martha spew, that he's evil incarnate, is just way over the top! The BDS syndrone is alive and well in Fergus too, huh?

I see it now...the clouds open up... and Bush see's God... then signs a piece of paper that proclaims the "war is officially over" and it stops as soon as his signature hits the paper.

Drone, I served my country for nine years and four days, three tours in Vietnam and have more medals than you have coherent thoughts. (I’m now a 100% disabled veteran from wounds received in a war zone) You remind me of that right wing talk show host who appeared on Hardball last week to defend Bush’s use of the word appeasement but when pressed by Chris Mathews had absolutely no idea what appeasement meant. (check it out on You Tube) It’s too bad you couldn’t stick to the argument at hand instead of citing additional reasons why Bush should be impeached. Had you had the courage to check out Justice Jackson’s remarks in his opening statement you would understand why Bush should be tried as a war criminal.

Well then, I sincerely thank you for your service. I still do not agree with Martha's statement neverless, or your's. My point about a shooting war is that emotions are now at a fevered pitch. I'm sick of the left, and that is just the straw that will break the camel's back. I didn't vote for any of the politicos that staff the World Court. Did you? I'm sorry, but you remind me of a left-winger who believes in a end game of a one-world government, ruled by a world court. I do NOT. I'd be happy to see the Useless Nations booted from our shores. I'm also quite aware of Jackson role at Nuremberg, so drop the attempt at mocking. Doesn't work with me, and I will mock BACK. Furthermore, I will AGAIN explain the legal rational:
"Iraqi defiance of the UN resolutions 687 and 678 which underpinned the 1991 Iraq war and ceasefire." On the war's legality, this was the opinion of the entire legal apparatus of the US government." Which I might point out was supported by the vast majority of both parties.
Ok, so which is it? Do you follow UN law or do you ignore it? Apparently, like all good little appeasers, they just want to threaten to send another "extremely stern letter", and "this time we really mean it". And frankly, I really don't CARE what the UN thinks about it! I DIDN'T VOTE FOR ANY OF THOSE REPS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES. LIKE SUDAN. Do you really think I give a flying rip about what they think???? And because someone now has made a 180 degreee turn in their opinion on the war, and want to "arrest" someone, just shows me their real colors. And by the way, at this point in time, who's side are you ON?

Looking for Work:
A Japanese doctor said, 'Medicine in my country
is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in
another, and have him looking for work in six weeks.'
A German doctor said, 'That's nothing, we can
take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking
for work in four weeks.'
A British doctor said, 'In my country, medicine
is so advanced that we can take half of a heart out of one person, put
it in another, and have them both looking for work in two weeks.'
A Texas doctor, not to be outdone said, 'You
guys are way behind. We took a man with no brains out of Texas , put him
in the White House and now half the country is looking for work.'

I can understand the author's frustration. BTW, I'm a Vietnam combat veteran also. Got drafted. Sure didn't volunteer for that idiotic war; but I went when I was ordered to do so. Nearly 60 years old now. Too danged old to serve anybody. I am very disappointed in the United States of America today. Seems now-a-days, you're either a liberal (lefty) or a Fascist (right wing nut job). Why can't we all just move to the middle and become good ole fashion Americans once again. It's OK to be liberal, moderate or conservative. I usually vote democrat so I guess I'm labelled a liberal who BTW is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. That's not a partisan issue. I'm also anti-illegal immigration. That's not a partisan issue either. I think anyone who comes into my home (ie' "country") without knocking first and asking for permission to enter should be arrested and locked up and I think a high voltage electric fence should be erected on the border to deter unlawful entry. I don't understand why everyone has to be stereo-typed. As far as Bush goes, he's just stupid. BTW; a sitting President cannot be arrested. Only impeached. After he leaves office, it would be nice to see our US Justice Department restored and anyone who violated the laws, brought to justice. Bush and Cheney included. But, that'll never happen. Everybody needs to relax and vote for Obama and all will be well again. That's my plan.

Well said mgdbottled, like you I’m a liberal who believes in a sound legal immigration policy and the second amendment (after all we lefties will need the guns when the time comes) what bugs me is these Bush supporters who affirm the righteousness of the Iraq war based on violations of international law such as United Nations resolutions or mandates or past world court verdicts but deny that our leaders should be held to the same standards. Those same standards we agreed to after WWII

It is too bad that nobody has any respect for anyone else anymore! I know that none of us would want to be in the position of our soldiers or our president but we can always give our advice! My kids and more of my family are fighting in this war and have fought in others for all freedoms including the freedom of speech. Freedom of speech does not give us the right to degrade or defame others. The original letter on here was about God and you know that I can see God crying over how his people and others all over the world are acting when they have been taught better. They talk about how kids act when they get in spats with friends but has anyone looked in the mirror lately and looked at how they themselves are acting as adults? Is there any difference? Yet we are supposed to be role models for our future generations????????

And 89heritage, drunk talk in bars doesn’t mean much to anyone who served, but if that’s all you got, that’s all you got, talk…."Give me another beer bartender, I’ll tell you how you should serve your country, while I hold the fort here in Fergus."

QAEDA TO URGE NUKE TERROR: FEDS
Reuters
May 28, 2008 -- WASHINGTON - Groups that monitor Islamic Web sites say al Qaeda will post a new video in the next 24 hours urging jihadists to use biological, chemical and nuclear weapons to attack the West, the FBI said yesterday.
FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said his agency sent out an alert about the expected video to 1,800 US law-enforcement agencies.
The FBI bulletin said neither it nor Homeland Security has any information regarding "any specific plot or indication of a threat to the US," according to an ABC News report,
In Washington, a US intelligence agent said there's no sign that al Qaeda has acquired the capability to use weapons of mass destruction. "At this point, there isn't evidence they've obtained it," the official said.
But, he added, "It's clearly their intent, and it's something we need to be aware of and concerned about."

This is the stupidest article I have ever read. I cant believe it has generated this many posts. Say what you want about WHY we went there. We're there now so we have to stay the course. Did you forget hussein was a butcher? I guess all those women and children he killed didnt mean much. Maybe we shouldnt have liberated the concentration camps either. What ever happened to the folks who said the war was about oil? About now I'm wishing it was, maybe I wouldnt be paying almost 4 bucks a gallon.
I almost forgot the religious aspect.
My opinion is this country is the only one that was founded for the sole purpose of serving God, thats why we are so blessed as a nation. I'd say Gods been pretty good to us.

Thanks Ranger! They seem to forget that as it wasn't all happening in our country. It is like why should we care about what is happening over there??? When they are so brainwashed that they use their children to carry their bombs! Our news media is not showing all the good that is happening over there, all they are interested in is the blood and gore. Give it a break and find out all the truths before you start on the rampages. Our guys and gals have seen the bad over there but they are also seeing the good that is happening. I am so glad that we have our education (Christian and otherwise) and our freedoms that we can make our own choices, they don't have all those freedoms as of yet so we should be very thankful for what we have and yes feel compassion for others that do not.

Here's the irony:
Pat Robertson, who blamed sinners in New Orleans for the destruction of Hurrican Katrina, was not a Battlestar Galactica supporter. It's interesting that we've uncovered the one thing that he and God don't see completely eye to eye on. Well, that and the loving your neighbor thing.

sweetpea...I never said killing was "wonderful". But, in light of the obvious failure of the prison system to deter senseless murder, and also in light of the fact that many judges around the nation give idiotic reduced sentences to obvious scum (see: the 2 adults who starved their 14 month old child to death and the 3 and 8 year sentences they rec'd), I'd say old Hammurabi may have had it right: an eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth. Certain criminal acts deserve NO right to redemption for the criminal. I would venture you disagree with the Rodriguez death sentence? Too bad.

Bush's popularity around march 03 (around the time of the iraqi invasion) was around 70%. Now, 5 years later, its little more than 15%. My point is, we elected him. I think the guy is nothing more than a boob, but hey, I voted for him too. Yes, we were led to believe that Iraq had WMD's, and we were wrong. Now, we've isolated ourselves from the rest of the world, and its going to take a new leader to salvage this sinking ship that is the country I love and have fought for.
