Anyone supporting the war should be hogtied

Published Thursday, June 12, 2008

I read our Senate’s intelligence report released on June 5, 2008, after four years of research, which states that President George W. Bush, along with some of his cabinet, lied to Congress and all of the American people to get us into a war. This is the first time our country has entered into an unprovoked war.

It has since cost us at least 4,000 lives, in addition it has bankrupted our economy and endangered our national safety for generations yet to be born.

I would rather take my chances with a black man whose middle name is Hussein, and is against killing my brothers and children than support those who have already proven beyond all doubt what they are willing to do to fill their own pockets at the cost of our lives. So I am officially endorsing Obama for president.

If you are so selfish and greedy that you still support another Republican president after 4,000 Americans have died simply because they sent out stimulus checks, then you are worse than Judas Iscariot,

Benedict Arnold V and Osama bin Laden — but don't take my word for it, let’s look at the numbers.

9-11 attacks = destruction of the World Trade Center in New York City and severe damage to the Pentagon in Arlington, Va., along with the deaths of 2,974 victims, who knows how many injured?

• American Deaths in Iraq since war began (3/19/03) = 4094

• Since "Mission Accomplished" (5/1/03) = 3955

• Since Capture of Saddam (12/13/03): = 3633

• Since Handover (6/29/04): = 3235

• Since Election (1/31/05): = 2657

• American Wounded , Official = 30333 Estimated = 23000

• Documented Iraqi civilian deaths since (3/19/03) = 84,328

Which of these is the greater atrocity?

Anyone supporting this war should be hogtied. Those of you who voted for George Bush should be ashamed. You have condoned and supported the greatest failings in American history.

What more will you allow them to take before you are willing to vote for a black guy that just wants Americans safe with decent health care? Are you so racist that you will let your own children die for it?

Maybe I am missing something...are you voting for him because you agree with his ideas and in spite of the fact he is black but then shaming others for not voting for him because of his race?

I will be voting for Obama in this election and have great faith that he will do well but it really shouldn't be about his race at all.

i have to agree with thevikingman, everone knows he is 1/2 black, so why is it a big issue with you? it sounds like that is the primary reason you support him. give us the facts and leave the race out of it.

Wow. Senet has really changed his ways...

"I would rather take my chances with a black man... ...So I am officially endorsing Obama for president."

That's some progress you're making there, Jamie. Keep it up. You'll be caught up the 21st century in no time.

Who is being a "racist" here? Those are some strong words you have used. Are you sure you understand them?

Don't forget the puppy the Marine tossed over the cliff.
I guess for a billion dollars or so a month the military better be killing "something" in Iraq.

I don't consider myself a dem. or rep. If i was a liberal I would hope some one would shoot me. You are the cancer of this country. I vote for who I think will do the right things for THIS country & Americans as a whole. Not what are you going to give me. Obama Won't pledge allegiance to our flag, He won't were the colors. Pledging allegiance is mandatory In this country to become a citizen or politician. So why are you voting for him? What is he going to do for America? our military has been in Iraq to long, But if you still don't understand why we had to go there & Afghanistan, then you probably shouldn't be voting at all.
I don't know about the puppy thing tippy. I know there are alot of young people over there and young people & old, do stupid things sometimes. I do know you libs AKA Cancer, never show or talk about all the good things our troops are doing over seas.

89, you should definitely consider yourself a republican. Everyone else already does, trust me.

89Heritage said "Obama Won't pledge allegiance to our flag"

You have just demonstrated how uneducated you are.

Not to mention when 89Heritage wrote "He won't were the colors."

Really, Mr. Heritage? Will Obama seriously not "were the colors?" What a jerk.

I'm pretty sure I will never "were the colors" either. Does that make me unpatriotic or a high school graduate?

Did you know in the last 12 months there have been 400 items voted on in the US Senate. Of those 400 items, Obama DID NOT vote on 231 of them. If he doesn't do his job over 50% of the time, what can we expect if he's the President???

Votes:

He voted NO on a bill that would require schools to install software on computers to block sexually explicit material and PROTECT our children.

He voted NO on a bill that would require prisoners to pay court costs after bringing frivolous lawsuits against the state.

He voted YES to reinstate the Illinois Estate Tax.

He voted NO on a bill that would have created an income tax credit for all K-12 Students families.

He voted YES on a bill that create "Public Funding" for Supreme court races. Instead of making each candidate pay for their own campaign, they FORCE the people to pay for it.

Americans against B-O!!!. If it stinks, don't vote for it.

Wow, great source of unbiased information. www.obama-sucks.net/ Keep up the good work otterfan. No wonder you're voting for Coleman. You just "like him," right?

"Please help us keep Obama out of the Oval Office. Search deep in your heart, you KNOW he is not the right choice. There is something bad about him that us regular folks can't quite put our finger on." - Right, you can't quite put your finger on it, can you? It's just right on the tip of your tongue but you can't quite spit it out. Is that it? Perhaps we should ask some of the voters from West Virginia if they've been able to "put their finger on it?"

AmyO~~It's my opinion and I am allowed it. I am not the ONLY one who believes obama is not right for america.
Why so defensive against "attacks" on obama?

I personally think no matter who gets in office we are still screwed, because of the lovely's in washington who can't see past there own wallets.

"Why so defensive against "attacks" on obama?"

Interesting choice of words. Perhaps because that's exactly what they are. Not thoughtful criticisms, not even corroborated facts, just attacks. Keep it up though; you're entitled to those too. Or as you put it, you are “allowed” them. So why not, right?

Otterfan -

First, you have to understand the inner workings of congress - if a senator chooses not to vote for on a particularly bill, especially while he or she is campaigning, it's most likely because the bill already has the required number of votes need to pass. His being present to vote is really irrelevant.
Second, you also have to read into these bills - anyone who knows anything about how bills are written know that the original intent of the bill is not necessarily the only thing "in" the bill...a bill to reduce taxes in Alaska was voted down a few years back, not because the senators didn't want to reduce taxes, but because a Republican Senator tacked a rider on the bill to build the multimillion dollar "Bridge to Nowhere".

Every one of these Senators have these sorts of things in their record - For instance, John McCain skipped a dozen votes for arming and equipping the troops in the last year. He voted against revamping the GI BILL. He voted against increasing healthcare benefits for vets. The list goes on and on...I didn't delve into the details of the bills, but on face value, I'd have to assume that ex-POW John McCain doesn't truly support our troops.

It's easy to pick on those on the other side of the political spectrum - in fact it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Now, I've never personally shot fish in a barrel, but I'd imagine it'd get pretty boring after a while...

What "ilk" would that be? I'm a tax paying Gulf War veteran. Is that the kind of "ilk" that you dislike and consider "deluded"?

AndyMosity said, "...I didn't delve into the details of the bills, but on face value, I'd have to assume that ex-POW John McCain doesn't truly support our troops."

Just wait 'til it all hits the fan for John McCain. While a POW he collaborated with his enemy captors numerous times. As a U.S. senator he overtly tried to stiffle the attempts of many to resurrect the search for POWs and MIAs, and once slapped a woman because she was pestering him about her lost loved one in Viet Nam.

"And in this corner . . ." I'm sure we'll be seeing video clips from McCain's camp portraying prospective first lady Michelle Obama in the same stereotypical, anti-white light as their former preacher, Rev. Wright. I recently watched her address her husband's supporters on CSPAN and she seethed with the same sentiments, though much more restrained.

When the floodgates open this campaign season between Obama and McCain- get ready for a media mudbath!

There is no perfect candiate. Neither Barack Obama or John McCain are 100% free from all controversy. If you look hard enough, you can find something to be offended about in both candidate's past. The point is, please, remain open minded and vote on the ISSUES, not rumor, innuendo or gossip. That said, Barack Obama is NOT a Muslim, he DOES wear the flag pin, and he DOES Pledge Alligence to the flag. Can we PLEASE get past all of this now and get back to debating the issues that really matter?! Thank you.

If you pray to God before you vote you will know who to vote for, God will give you directions. He will guide your vote to the honorable John McCain. Then you can leave the voting booth knowing that you have done Gods work. Senator MsCain will not vote for the new GI bill because it will make it to attractive to get out of the services and get a free education. We need our soldiers where they are in the east fighting the heathen muslums.

If you truly believed this to be the case you would not have felt the need to tell people who God wants them to vote for. God would do it him/herself. A true believer would simply have faith that God's will would be done. You, on the other hand, believe your will to be God's will. God is not a Republican. Republicans think they are God.

wow! I didn't even think this letter would be published?
I'm glad it was and to answer or clear up some of this issues...
I am voting for Barack Obama because of what he at least claims to stand for, because, rather than wrapping himself in the flag for popularity and deceiving the Christian voters like the Republicans would rather do, He has instead chose to talk about the issues, and explain His views!
My personal opinion of Him as well as others have nothing to do with Race, or Religion.
I was pointing out that he is black, simply because, He is the First Black Presidential Candidate, and I don't understand why anyone would appose this man!
the only thing I could think of is that he's black!
I want to make this clear!
I am no RACIST!, but there is also no denying that racism is very alive and thriving in the USA!
I assume AmyO's comment suggesting I am a racist has to do with a song I wrote and recorded over 15 years ago called "I'm a Nazi"
that song was not pro-nazi, even though some pro-nazi groups thought it was.
thank you for taking time out to read this, and I hope you vote you conscience this November!

I would also ask that You research the WM3 case
time is running out or Damien Echols,
the West Memphis Three were convicted of Murder based on the facts that they wore metallica t-shirts and had long hair.
I urge you to read more about the WM3 yourself at www.wm3.org

You wrote and recorded a song called "I'm a Nazi?"

Really? What was it about? Perhaps you could post some lyrics for us?

Posted by metasonics (anonymous) on June 25, 2008 at 8:54 p.m. (Suggest removal)

"I'm a nazi not liberace, I hang out with ralph and f**king potsie
I'm a nazi just like Ghandi, the quintesetial f**king Fonzie
I'm a nazi not liberace, my best friends name is Bill Cosby"

it was quoted a couple times on the television show called "mystery science theater 2000"
I recorded it in my band called "outcry" like 15 years ago.

it was a real deep song of hatred like that,
but I imagine like most half awake spoonfed mouthbreathers, you only paid attention to the title!
which was the whole point to begin with, just as your preaching at Me about a song called "preacherman" is so fitting!
LOL
my music has always revealed the inner workings of people, just as it has revealed yours.
thats one of the things I like most about my music.
your sort always want to attack me at first, while pure souls simply enjoy it, and have fun with it!
and now that you've revealed the kind of person you really are, My question is, "are you self-aware yet"?
because it's time for you to wake up!

Posted by AmyO (anonymous) on June 26, 2008 at 9:01 a.m. (Suggest removal)

Mystery Science Theater 2000, huh. Cool. I don't think that was ever an actual show, but cool nonetheless.

It was a deep song of hatred? For some reason I just don't get that from the lyrics you posted. It kind of just sounds like gibberish. What kind of Nazi is Ghandi?

Perhaps you could also enlighten us with the type of "inner workings" the song entitled "I want to kill everybody" posted by you on YouTube reveals. That one similarly seems to be a little too deep for my primitive abilities of comprehension. Thanks!

Posted by metasonics (anonymous) on June 26, 2008 at 2:54 p.m. (Suggest removal)

lol
you're right there never was a tv show called "mystery science theater 2000" and it was never reffered to MST2K for short.
there was no "Tom Servo",
I guess sarcasam also goes over your head?
I don't have a song called "I want to Kill Everybody"!
I do have a song called "kill Everbody", which someone like you should be able to relate to easily!
Ghandi was a nazi as much as I am!
He shaved his head, rejected popular culture, and thought for himself, he was much cooler than Fonzie in my book.
Yet in 1996 and probablly even now more people knew who "Fonzie" was than know who "Ghandi" was.
I buzz-cut my hair and read about Ghandi, and thats all it took for Fergus falls people to start calling me a nazi and a commie at the same time, which was a step up I guess from being called a Devil Worshipper, like they used to call me.
it is now 15 years later, and I can't say much has changed.
3 kids in West Memphis Arkanssas, were convicted of murder based on wearing black t shirts and listening to metallica about 15 years ago, and are still in prison, despite DNA evidence proving their innocence.
I could see this type of thing happening in Fergus falls!
that is why I support the immediate release of the WM3.

oops! sorry!, I guess I meant to say "mystery science theater 3000" MST3K.
I typed a 2 instead of a 3, I hope you are able to decrypt and connect the dots, seriously, I meant "MST3K", not "MST2K", and "Mystery Science Theater 3000" not "Mystery Science Theater 2000", do you see the difference? and the song is called "Kill Everbody" not "I want to kill everybody", and "I'm a nazi" isn't about actually being a nazi, just as you are probablly a whole lot more than your posts here suggest.
I honestly wonder why you are so concerned over me anyway?
obviously I don't want people to dislike my music, or think I'm a racist, and for instance break into my home again, and attack my family members, or poke guns in my face, or any of the many horrible things that have happened to me while living in Fergus falls.
what motivates you to pick at Me and criticize like you do?
what is in it for you?
Just for the satisfaction of making my day a little worse?, or knowing that you're reminding Me of why 3 of my friends killed themselves rather than enduring more Fergus falls style friendliness.

Alright, Jamie. I'll leave you be as this seems to have brought up a whole array of underlying issues for you. However, in response to your inquiry in a recently deleted thread regarding your band...

"so where could I get a listen?" - Jamie Cooper

If I wanted your (or anyone else’s) feedback on my music, I'd point you to a location where you could listen to it and offer your opinion. However, I'm perfectly comfortable with the fact that I enjoy playing music and I don't need other people to validate that for me. I love playing music. That’s all I need to know. I guess I figure as long as people continue to ask me to play at places and continue to pay me the $150 per hour that I got last night to do so, I must be doing something right. Right? ; )

"so you're judging whether or not their opinions are worth taking seriously?" - Jamie Cooper

Sure I do. But even when I determine that they are not (maybe when some guy comes up to me and starts talking about his high score on guitar hero), I still say "Well, thanks for hanging around and listening to my music and have a great night." You seem to have this need to insult and "discredit" anyone who doesn't praise you and your "art." One has to wonder why.

"I don't remember asking for your songwriting advice, or anything else, for that matter." – Jamie Cooper

Really? So you don’t remember posting this…
“just copy this link: http://www. gretsch125th. com/vote
and sign up to vote for Jamie Cooper
You probablly should listen to my song Preacherman first”

And you don’t remember posting this…
“oh yeah vote for the METASONICS at http://warpedtour.battleofthebands.com/t.........
for the VANS WARPED tour also”

Well, in that case I think I’m about done with this. I wish you all the best in the competition, Jamie, and hope that every one of your fans turns out in support of the METASONICS. You’ll have to let us know how it turns out. I’ll keep an eye out for your upcoming shows. Best of Luck!

Amyo
I did ask people to vote for my song.
I think I typed this correct?
where does it say " Amyo, teach me your vast knowledge of songwriting techniques" and attempt to promote your pal Tim Mahoney for a inappropriate tour, while implying I'm a racist and devil worshiper?

what a nice little catch 22 you have with your music.
you have somehow managed to earn $150 an hour yet keep your music a secret, and away from the scrutiny you so quickly impose on others with a larger audience.

it still sounds like "sour grapes" to me!

If getting paid is what validates your music?, then what is your music really about?

"You seem to have this need to insult and "discredit" anyone who doesn't praise you and your "art." One has to wonder why." - Amyo
So this is how you're trying to pass your comments off now?
I guess calling me a racist and devil worshiper are not praising to me or my art but, come on, You discredited yourself when you tried to pass off garbage like that as some species of constructive criticizm.

you and your pals posting trash about suicide victims I've known, and implying my mother was a witch?
She was a nurse for most of her life and most recently spent the past 12 years fighting cancer until it claimed her life a few months ago.
had you bothered to actually research me you may have noticed all the work I've done to fight cancer too.
You may have even noticed my work has saved lives!

Sorry if you can't understand why I would have a problem with your Self-righteousness and condemning remarks!
