Flags made retired Veteran proud
Published Thursday, July 17, 2008
I would personally like to thank all who are responsible for the Veterans Walk of Flags.
It made me feel proud when I found the flag that had been purchased for me. It is things like this that make me still consider Fergus Falls "my home town." The patriotism shown by the citizens of Fergus Falls is commendable and sets an example for our nation at a time when it is so badly needed.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Posted by Timray18 (anonymous) on July 22, 2008 at 12:22 a.m. (Suggest removal)
Having lived in a lot of places in this wonderful country....those early morning walks watching the men set out the flags honoring America's best is still one of the most precious memories I have....yes Fergus Falls you are a very special place.
