Parking, student bus transfers affected by construction
Published Wednesday, August 27, 2008
With construction under way at the Fergus Falls Middle School, parents and community members should be aware that there are changes in parking and building access.
The Fergus Falls School District’s bus drop-off/pick-up site will be in the parking lot south of the Middle School tennis courts, off Randolph Avenue. (Pease see accompanying map.)
During the school day, the northern portion of the lot will be designated for school buses only, and the southern portion will be designated for drivers who are picking up or dropping off students. The bus portion of the lot is off limits for parking during the school day.
After school hours, this parking lot is also the lot that should be used by community members and parents who need access to the Middle School gym and pool, and by fans who attend football and soccer games at the Otter football field. Ticket booths for the games are located just west of the field and east of the tennis courts (this is a new site).
During construction, the Middle School pool and gym can be accessed only by the doors on the north side of the building. Visitors will need to park in the lot south of the tennis courts and follow the signs into the building.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Posted by cascade (anonymous) on August 27, 2008 at 12:46 p.m. (Suggest removal)
Too bad they cut down all the nice oaks between the main parking lot and the tennis court lot....

Are they going to build warming houses for when it - 20 outside and the kids are waiting or changing busses?

they've never had warming houses in the past and to-date i don't believe we've lost a single child to the elements.
