Assault arrest

A woman was arrested for fifth degree domestic assault early Wednesday morning after biting her boyfriend as he tried to restrain her.
The incident took place in Battle Lake and was reported to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office at about 3:30 a.m. this morning. When a verbal argument escalated, Summer Lee, McClellan, 23, began throwing objects around.
According to a sheriff’s report, McClellan broke a bathroom mirror and a window, sustaining a cut on her wrist that bled severely. She then bit her boyfriend twice on the arm as he restrained her, allegedly trying to keep her from hurting herself further.
McClellan was transported first to Lake Region Hospital, then to the Otter Tail County Detention Facility.
