Purse stolen
Published Wednesday, September 17, 2008
Someone stole the purse of an Applebee’s employee while she was at work Saturday night.
The purse, which contained a wallet with cash and checks, was stolen after someone broke the side window of the woman’s car, which was parked near the restaurant’s employee entrance.
The theft is believed to have occurred between 5:30 p.m. and about 1:30 a.m.

I could see it being half of her fault if the Doors were unlocked!
Sometimes restaurants do not have proper places to put your belongings... usually you need your id etc, when driving.
This is absolutely sad and disturbing that someone out there is doing this and Babygurl4 it is sad that there are people out there like you that comment on blaming the victim...

BABYGURL4: It is in no way this girls fault that somebody broke her car window to steal her purse. How is that her fault....that's like saying somebody broke into my home to steal my t.v. but it's half my fault cause you could see my t.v. from outside. PLEASE use your head.

She more than likely thought having it in her locked car was safer than having it inside, as fellow employees have been known to steal from there coworkers in the workplace. I have locked my purse in my car concealed under a blanket or jacket or in the trunk so it is out of sight.

OMG! even if the car was unlocked!!! nobody has any entitelment to someone elses property!!!! BABYGIRL4 where did you get your values?

When you leave a purse,or anything of value in your locked car in plain sight you are tempting a thief to steal it. If they see it and want it they are going to get it. Lock it in your trunk where they can't see it.

While it's a good idea to place valuables out of sight, it was, in no way, the girls fault that her valuables were stolen.

it is her fault she should have hidden the purse thieves are out there and we all know it i don't understand why women think they need to bring a suitcase with them everywhere anyway. put your money in the bank and just use your atm card keep it in your pocket and if thats too hard to understand im sure we could get a hole punch and hang your atm card around your neck for you this kind of reporting just gives theives ideas

OMG......... Neocon I cannot even believe you can look yourself in the mirror... you are the most unsensitive, bitter person! IT IS NOT HER FAULT THAT HER PURSE GOT STOLEN! Women need to carry suitcases??? get over it.. and why put your money in the bank now adays... so they can charge you to take it out! If you own cash, you have the right to do what you want... put it where you want... it is NOT OK THAT PEOPLE JUSTIFY A THIEF..... lets see what your reaction would be if it was you! Get some Love in your heart,... maybe you would like yourself a little more....LOL>.. doubtful though~

I don't care if you are offended if she had her money in the bank and her atm card around her neck she would still have every cent. its just like these women that go out to get drunk half dressed and then cry rape the next morning people need to take responsibility for their own stupid mistakes women included

I have to agree somewhat with babygurl. Not that anyone deserves to have ANYTHING stolen from them. But come on. If you are going to keep your purse in the car, locked or unlocked, hide it. Or better yet put it in your trunk. I would say with all the car breakins we have had, that is just setting bait for someone who seems to think they need money.

this is obscene!
you are actually blaming the victim who left her purse locked in her car at her job for the actions of a thief?
neocon is essentially saying blaming rape victims for being raped?
are children asking for it too?
it worries me that this hate speech is actually being so accepted?
comparing wearing an atm card to rape?
what if the rapist stole her atm card too?
lets remember who committed the crime here!

Neocon... I am totally not offended by someone of your caliber... which is pointless to me...
I guess you have some issues... persay with WOMEN! LOL... maybe you have been burnt by the ones who have self worth and perhaps do not take such shovinistic behavior:) there is a local library right now, having a book sale, perhaps you could go buy some self help books with your atm card! Good luck to you...
There is not any fault to a victim... the fault is the theory of everyone enabling the cause... you need to get past your issues and realize that it is not right of someone to "break into" someone elses car, house, whatever and take something that does not belong to them...
There is no reason a person cannot have cash on them... that is a persons choice... and so what.. why do you care? When you have no feelings or remorse for a person who gets raped... but then want to blame them for what they wear! So does that mean if I see a guy walking down the street and I am mad at men that I can run him off the road because he is there? GET REAL NEOCON
It is people like you that make the wrong in the world active.

I agree with all of you...
Except Neocon, what an idiot...This is why it's a good idea people remain anonymous. Other wise I would worry about Neocons safety.
