McCain in office likened to third term of Bush
Published Wednesday, October 1, 2008
If we put McCain in as our next president, it would be like giving Bush a third term and we sure don’t need that. We need a change for the better and with Obama as our president, we will again move forward without our deadly costs in lives and financial problems.
Obama is a family man with his first and only wife. It matters not if he is Christian or Muslim. What counts is that he is a man of God and believes in God and country. He is a person of true and honest values.
There are those who feel McCain is one of wonderful characteristics. Just because he was POW does not really qualify him a presidential material.
What good deed he has done is what counts. He was not faithful to his first wife, so I can not hardly support a cheater. We do not need an old man that is not honest as our president and commander-in-chief.
McCain’s running mate does not impress me either. Palin should be at home raising her family rather than be so heavily involved with politics. Her father shot and killed a grizzly bear which is now on display on her bed — hide, head and all. When I saw this bear picture in Newsweek of Palin showing off her bear, I could have cried. Palin may think she is a good Christian, but with her attitude, she sure isn’t a child of God.
What this country needs is true honest change. A person who came up the ladder the hard way — We need Obama.

Boy Rod I'm suprised you didn't just come out and say that Palin belongs in the kitchen. Obama has small children too, maybe he should be at home. GET IN THE KITCHEN AND MAKE ME A SANDWICH "OBAMA BIN SANDWICH MAKER"!!!!!

Hahaha! profamily is a riot!
Sure, if you seriously want to keep interests of the big corporations ahead of those of "we the people", vote for McCain.

Mr. Hanson Barack O'Barney Fife has not even had the experience that it would take to be Mayor of Erhard. Commander in Chief, you apparently have not heard what he plans for the military! Sorry about the bear, they hunt them around Erhard now you know. You said O'Barney came up the hard way. Ask any non-minority how difficult it is to get into Harvard. O'Barney a christian, oh yes his Pastor Wright that God D----d the USA for the 20 years he went to the church is truely a christian. Do all the women in downtown Erhard agree with you that they should stay home and have babies?

I AM a woman. And I don't think Rod meant any harm with his statement; here's the thing; As a working Mother in a male-dominated feild for many years, I worked twice as hard as the men to achieve half as much. But, the fact was, I needed the job for the money. The scene is changing now, albeit slowly, and I'm glad for further acceptance of women into the workforce. That said, I had children too, and I can't say that there was ever a time that I would rather have stayed at work then leave and hold a sick child or attend a school show or be a nurturer like I should have been. They were MY babies Women should not put themselves in the Superhero capacity because children need a parent 24/7. If these women want to work a stressfull 12-hour day, then they should think about not having babies if they don't want to take care of them. This may all sound sexist, I realize this. But the point is, you have a woman contending for Vice President of the United States (maybe President?), she's got five kids. Five. You can't tell me that there won't be circumstances where she plain and simple needs to be a caregiver to her children instead of walking the halls of Congress under perhaps the most stressfull job in the United States. I know I'd have a hard time concentrating on Nuclear Arms deals when my kids are sick at home looking for me. I would have to wonder, what kind of a Mother is she?
After I left the feild of work that I was in, I was there for my kids, and it seemed, everybody else's too. I was the Mother who brought stuff to the classroom, drove kids everywhere, and always had snacks and ideas for parentless kids to do while they waited and waited for mom or dad to pick them up from school. Choosing parenthood, and then being a good parent to your kids must be one of the most selfless acts ever.
Ms. Palin should stay local to her family, what's next, the First Nanny in the White House?

"Obama poses too much of a threat to the current status quo of elite privilege and rule to be an effective ruler"
Profamily, McSame represents the status quo. He voted for Bush's war which has destroyed tens of thousands of families of dead and wounded soldiers. Is that Profamily? NO.
"rule to be an effective ruler" WHAT? We don't need another ruler in America. Which King George are we talking about here?

Did you know that nearly as many soldiers died per year under Clinton's piece time years as have during the years America has been at war with terrorists and the Dem's have been in control during Bush's Presidency.

No soldiers died in war under the Clinton Administration. None. Total casualities in Bosnia was zero. Not a single soldier died. Going on 5000 dead in Iraq and Afganistan under Bush with some 35000 wounded, many seriously that'll require lifetime care. Get your facts straight.

RighOn, How many soldiers died per year under Clinton's piece time years? You post as if you know how many there were. Lets have the numbers please.

12 October 2000- USS COLE terrorist attack
While refueling in Aden Harbor, Yemen USS COLE was victim of terrorist attack. USS COLE was attacked on Port Mid-Ships by a small boat with explosives onboard. The result of which led to a 40 by 60 foot hole and the loss of 17 sailors.
This is just "one" that happened on Clinton's Watch! And he did absolutely nothing about it!!!!!!!!!

Bornhere -- with a little searching I found these numbers from the Clinton administration: 1,245 in 1993; 1,109 in 1994; 1,055 in 1995; 1,008 in 1996. That's 4417 deaths. Compared to 5000 I'd say thats nearly as many. I also found your numbers a bit off but nearly correct, according to antiwar.com, as of today, American deaths total 4176 and 30662 wounded.

Thank you Jerry and RightOn. How quickly we forget, huh? It's too bad that we can turn a blind eye to something that is just as serious as the hyped-up war that's going on.

RightOn, I guess I will have to take your word for it on those Clinton figures but I can not understand where all those deaths could have come from. Are you including every country we were in and every bombing, every killing or accidental death of any soldier anywhere in the US and the world?
Your toll for Bush only includes the Iraq war and nothing else.

You're citing all deaths in the Clinton Administration and only war deaths in the Bush Administration. Accidental, illness, suicides, etc. are counted under Clinton and ignored under Bush. Find a cite with stats that count only war deaths from combat. Bush trumps them all. Count apples to apples. Not apples to oranges. Of course, soldiers are going to die from accidents, illness and suicides under any president.

Economies go up and down -- What gave me the chills was looking back at what Democratic presidents have done for us in the past.
_____________________________________________________
Woodrow Wilson got us involved in Europe's mess, WWI, 120,000 dead GIs. Franklin Roosevelt declared war against Japan as was fitting after Pearl Harbor. But he also declared against Germany, involving us again in a European mess, hundreds of thousands GI deaths.
_______________________________________________________
Harry Truman, Korean War, lost war plus close to 40,000 GIs. J.F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson, Vietnam debacle, lost war plus 56,000 American deaths. James Carter stood by as Iran invaded our land "Embassy" and held over 50 embassy officials prisoners for more than 400 days. Did he send a huge armed force to threaten Iran? No. He sent a half dozen helicopters to land in Iran, somehow find our people, load them on birds and bring them gallantly home. The most stupid military action ever conceived in history of man.
_____________________________________________________
Bill Clinton, before 9/11 disaster, Sudan government offered to give us Osama Bin-Laden. Clinton's foreign secretary advised not to accept as it might upset Saudi Arabian head honchos friendly with Bin-Laden's family. Result, 3,000-plus innocent Americans killed with Twin Towers destruction.
________________________________________________________
Now it might be Barack who will have to make final decisions? He, with less than four years government experience, one ultra-fast trip to Middle East, Russia acting up again, Iran still working toward atomic weapon, Pakistan in turmoil, Taliban and Osama being helped by rogue Pakistanis -- has the chill gotten to you yet?
________________________________________________________
Barack wants to talk with all our enemies. So did all of the above. I certainly know how I'm going to vote. Think about it.

I think you are mistaken, check your research!!!
Seems strange to me if Obama was a man of God, why did he attend Pastor Wright's church for 20 years and not hear anything he said???
Why is Palin required to be at home raising her family when Obama is not? It is just as much her husband's job as it is her's. I expect if she becomes VP her husband will take a bigger role in raising the family. CAN YOU SAY SEXIST???
Also what is wrong with displaying a grizzly bear? There are thousands of people that hunt and it provides millions of dollars for MN to maintain wildlife habitat. There is also a good chance they didn't shoot it just for the head, but also enjoyed quite a few good meals from it. Obama doesn't seem like a child of God either! Somehow I don't think God is all for the extremism taught by Pastor Wright and listened to by Obama during the most impressionable years of his life!
Some how I don't think Obama came up the ladder the hard way! It is a heck of a lot easier to come from a poor family than one that has lot's of money, but doesn't give free rides and get though college. With his parent's income Obama probably got scollar ships to help him with the college bills. Also colleges have jobs available that they ONLY offer to students from low income families. So say your parents have money, but won't pay for you to get a free ride in college. Then you tell me who has an easier time!!!
Oh than then there is the fact that an African American can walk into any business and apply for a job, and if they are even remotely as qualified as the other candidates they will be offered the job because of the Affirmative Action laws! You tell me how that is comming up the ladder the hard way!!!
Also it was Bill Clinton that repealed the Glass-Steagall Act, officially known as the Banking Act of 1933. A law from the Great Depression that many say would have protected us against the current mortgage crisis! So why is Bush being blamed for the mortgage fallout? Because he happened to be in office once the floor finally fell out of Clinton's mortgage empire?
In fact Clinton gave the pen he used to sign the repeal to billionaire Sanford I. Weill, who made Citigroup into the most powerful financial institution. Fittingly, Citigroup is a major contributor to guess which current Democratic Presidential candidate???
Also for those of you that believe that racism isn't alive and well in America, then why do polls show that something like over 97% of African American voters plan to vote for Obama? Racism isn't a one way street like many African Americans you like you to believe!!!

Bev & Apion, well spoken but most of the people that are blogging in the FFJ seem to be a lost cause. They seem to be all caught up in the Obama media mania thing and that is all their blinders allow them to see. They will not even consider looking at all the options. Liberals must be thicker than hair on a dog in Minnesota. After all Minnesota voters did give us Mondale, Ventura, the only state in the US that supported Carter. If Franken gets in well then I know MN is a lost cause. They are a good state for government freebies though. Lets just get this election over with!

Where are the people who have worked with Obama for years and who can vouch for his character? The man remains a mystery! The people who could vouch for Obama over the long term seem not to be people with whom he can appear in public. Who are they? Some we already know, such as Obama’s racist pastor Jeremiah Wright, who called white Americans the “U-S of KKK-A” and asked God to “damm America.” Barack Obama spent 20 years in Wright’s church, regarded Wright as his mentor, and dropped him only when the minister proved politically embarrassing. They were close: Does Obama see the world Wright’s way? Then in 1995 Obama launched his political career from the Chicago living room of Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dorn, well-known, unrepentant, anti-American radicals who bombed the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol in the 1960’s. The only favorable remark he has made about the U.S. court system was in reference to himself, “guilty as hell…but free as a bird”. Obama, who once claimed that Ayers was “some guy who lives in my neighborhood,” appears to have had extensive dealings with the leftist revolutionary. From 1995-1999, Obama worked with Ayers on the Chicago Annenburg Challenge, helping to channel money to educational programs explicity designed to raise political consciousness – that is, to inculcate hard-left attitudes in Chicago schools. According to the Chicago Sun-Times: “Ayers also served alongside Obama between Dec. 1999 and Dec. 2002 on the board of the not-for-profit Woods Fund of Chicago. That board met four times a year, and members would see each other at occasional dinners the group hosted. Ayers is “not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis,” Obama has said. Of those they’ve exchanged irregularly, then which views of Ayers’ does Obama share? Obama’s name has now surfaced in old news reports about meetings of the Democratic Socialists of America, the American affiliate of the Socialists International. His name is in their newsletters as attending their meetings. American citizens have a right to know “what makes this man tick” before the election!
