There’s more at stake this election season

Published Thursday, October 30, 2008

America wake up! America is at stake! If ever there was a time for Americans to vote — it’s this year!

The issue isn’t Republican or Democrat but to look at the records and experience needed to keep our Country free.

I’m so tired of listening to the liberal media and Congress. They want the Democratic Party in so bad — I think they’d vote for Bin Laden if he was on the ticket!

I don’t understand the ignorance of the majority of the liberal Congress who want to take God out of the universe when He created the universe. Since God was taken out of schools — illiteracy increased. They like to blame Pres. Bush for everything.

They forgot he had to deal with a democratic Congress. Records show it was the democrats that caused the financial dilemma with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — and our liberal senator running for the Presidency cashed in on large sums of money.

I thank God we had a President that defended our country after 9/11 and we’re still free!

Also, he put in two conservative judges that fought against abortion and defined marriage between one woman and one man.

No doubt the next President will elect up to four Supreme Justices and we need to vote for a President that will uphold our moral values on abortion, homosexuality and the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman (It was Adam and Eve — not Adam and Steve) as defined by God.

Vote the Bible and God will bless our great nation. Right now we’re servants to China (a non-Christian nation) for trillions of dollars. It’s scary!

We have an inexperienced liberal Senator running for President that’s had ties with terrorist Ayers, Jeramiah Wright and others with anti-American views. He wants way too much government control.

In these days we need a President that is a strong, moral leader that will lower taxes, provide better health care, allow oil drilling in the U.S., provide jobs, protect Israel and the unborn (and use common sense) and protect our country. In my opinion, every Christian will vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin because of their stand on the issues.

Remember, we aren’t voting for an eloquent debater — we’re voting for the President of the U.S.

Make sure you vote!

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.

I will vote for Obama. I am also a Christian. There is no place in the Bible where it says you have to be a Republican to be a Christian - something that a lot of radical Christians seem to believe. When I get a call from a pollster and they ask me if I'm a Christian, I always feel a need to qualify that. I am a Christian - but do not want to be associated with the radical right. I am offended by someone like Ms. Peterson telling me that I have to vote Republican to prove I'm a Christian. I don't need to prove that to anyone but God - and He knows.

NOT A SCARE TACTIC, JUST A WARNING, MAYBE EVEN A WAKE UP CALL TO ALL WHO ENJOY THEIR FREEDOM AS WE KNOW IT! Well let's see. Obama has already promised a weird, 250,000 person "civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as our military...isn't that a TAD creepy...even Third Reich-ish? He has started "truth squads" to find and prosecute people responsible for negative ads he doesn't like...his campaign has black-listed media outlets who asked questions he didn't like...he sent the secret service to investigate a Lufkin, Texas woman who answered an Obama phone survey in a way he didn't appreciate...he has already PROMISED to crush the 1st Amendment rights of talk radio stations and their hosts...and he even said in a 2001 interview that it was tragic that the Earl Warren Supreme Court didn't "break free from the essential constraints set by the Founding Fathers and the Constitution." And all of this...even BEFORE he's been elected. Isn't any of that just a little frightening to you? STOP DRINKING THE OBAMA KOOL-AID.

Keep your religion out of my politics, please.

Saying something is not a Scare Tactic doesn't save it from actually being a Scare Tactic.
