Bush still needs to be punished

Published Tuesday, November 25, 2008

Bush still needs to be punished

In a short time now, George Bush, our Republican president will return to Texas. In all fairness, he should be brought forth to the world court instead

Because of his actions, many people have suffered and died and justice should be done.

George Bush should stand trial as a war monger, and he should receive what is due to him. Let the world decide if he is guilty and should be hanged by the neck.

I think there is enough evidence against Bush that he could be hanged many times over. Let the world court do its job — Justice needs to be done with this murderer.

With the election of Obama, we will have a chance of survival and happiness, and the country will be for the better.

Let us all pray for our new leader. God bless America.

Linda Nelson

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.

Bush "tossing around 'intelligence' that was used to convince people?" Wow, take a look at your 'buddies', then tell me it was just Bush. This was going on while you were at recess, listen to the words, not the opinions of your liberal conspiracy theorists.

No Matter what you think Bush will not ever be punished for anything. He is only guilty of doing a poor job as President. The rest is purely speculation unless you have hard evidence which the libral left does not have or else they would have tried to burn Bush long before this so get over it. Further all they can do is say they should have done this or that but they didn't so again get over it.

Maybe Carter should be charged for NOT taking care of american citizens in Iran, a year long hostage case that Reagan ended in one day.

Anarch,
I think people are just wired differently, hold core beliefs that are similiar, but different enough to challenge eachother. I appologize for my the flavor of some of my responses to you, at the end of the day we are all on the same side. That doesn't mean I won't challenge your beliefs in the future, but I wanted to let you know, I can tell you are very intelligent as well as articulate. Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving.

Bush is a hero.Iraq had more low grad uranium the iran has now and it was found.Let them build nukes now one will die then.Prime Minister Tony Blair told reporters:

"In case people should think that the whole idea of a link between Iraq and Niger was some invention, in the 1980s we know for sure that Iraq purchased round about 270 tons of uranium from Niger."

for someone whose speaking against war and violence...Linda sure does want some horrible things for our soon to be former president. Since the beginning of this great country, war has unfortunately had to be a part of obtaining and keeping our freedom. We've all grown too comfortable thinking that war will never happen again on American soil, and so we criticize when we go elsewhere to ensure it doesn't reach our land. I now fear for our country since the election of Obama...his mentor has been quoted MANY a time with the words "I hate America". do people really think that Obama has all of a sudden fallen in love with our country. I agree that the economy is an important issue..but our freedom should be worth more.

Linda..we could and should pray for our new president...even though he doesn't believe in the same god we do

Posted by edrule3 (anonymous) on November 28, 2008 at 7:43 p.m. (Suggest removal)

". . . same god we do". . . ?!?
Which one is that, scrubby? The god residing at the top of your church? Or maybe the one at the top of all the churches under the Christianity blanket? But wait, is it OK to include the Roman Catholic religion under that blanket, or just Protestantism? Oh wait, maybe there are as many gods as there are differing branches of the same religion - made obvious by the many differing themes each offshoot church is created under. But then again, maybe there is no common god after all - not even between two people because ultimately, given the right circumstances, any two people on earth, once pitted in mortal combat, will claim their god to be superior over their competiton's god - unless they've been fooled into giving their life, and in turn the lives of their own children, to those who've taught them how to behave through the religion they themselves gave them. Maybe the real truth is that there are as many gods as there are minds that believe there is god.

If you haven't figured it out yet, man creates god in the image that suits and serves him best. Once the psychology is imparted into the weaker minds of their followers they can control them in any way they choose. Scrubbs, your a classic example of that manifestation.

There will never be peace on earth when the masses are so easily manipulated and succumb to the dogma of their wealthy and powerful masters. Oh but wait, which masters do I speak of? Is it the masters of . . . .

Let's respect our President! He pledged to support our country and stop attacks against it! Where do you guys come from!! I'm sure you have heard of the various arrests across our Northern and Southern borders? Take a look back a few years say maybe 4 or 5!

If any president should have been tried as a war criminal it is Johnson. Macnamara admitted He and Johnson MADE UP the Gulf of Tonkin incedent. IF you don't believe that please look it up (google it). He is directly responsible for the deaths of over 55,000 american young men as well as the lives of those of us who managed to make it back but got spit on. He's the most evil president this country ever has had and quite possible (I hope) will ever have. Johnson is responsible for at least 3 to 4 million deaths. Bush does'nt even come close to that demon. I'm not a Bush lover but put things in their proper perspective for God's sake.

Get a clue, Jerry (and quit being a parrot for Limbaughesque propaganda). This is a partial list. It doesn't account for attacks on U.S. consulates abroad (which are, technically, on U.S. soil). And what about attacks on U.S. citizens abroad? The truth is our world is turning against us for our foreign policies that, more and more, resemble the hegemonous zionism occurring in Palestine, but gets no coverage by the zionist owned media in the U.S. If you look at the statistics you'd see a multifold increase in terrorist attacks worrldwide. The world has become a far scarier place for Americans since 9/11.

Partial list of U.S. terrorist incidents:

2001

United States, December 12: Jewish Defense League plot by Chairman Irv Rubin and follower Earl Krugel to blow up the King Fahd Mosque in Culver City, California, and the office of Lebanese-American Rep. Darrell Issa, foiled.

United States: Anthrax attacks on the offices the United States Congress and New York State Government offices, and on employees of television networks and tabloids.

United States, December 22: Richard Reid, attempting to destroy American Airlines Flight 63, is subdued by passengers and flight attendants before he could detonate his shoe bomb.

2002

United States, May: Luke Helder injures 6 by placing pipebombs in mailboxes in the Midwest. Motivation to protest government control over daily lives and the illegality of marijuana and promotion of astral projection

United States, July 4: An Egyptian gunman opens fire at an El Al ticket counter in Los Angeles International Airport, killing two Israelis before being killed himself.

United States, October: John Allen Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo conduct the Beltway Sniper Attacks, killing ten people in various locations throughout the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area from October 2 until they are arrested on October 24.

2006

United States, March 3: Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar, an Iranian-born graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, drives an SUV onto a crowded part of campus, injuring nine.

United States, August 30: An Afghani Muslim hit 19 pedestrians, killing one, with his SUV in the San Francisco Bay area.

2007

October 26 2 A pair of improvised explosive devices are thrown at the Mexican Consulate in New York City. The fake grenades were filled with black powder and detonated by fuses, causing very minor damage. Police investigate the connection between this and a similar attack against the British Consulate in New York in 2005.

Linda Nelson has a right to believe the "kook fringe, far leftist, kool-aid drinking views" about President Bush. However, The Journal has every right (and responsibility in this case) to not print the HATE SPEECH Linda Nelson spews. As a frequent advertiser in The Journal, I will think twice about supporting them in the future with my advertising budget.

It's called a free country. I know under the new regime you liberals support the "fairness doctrine". It may become law. Until then I will choose to withhold money from organizations I don't agree with. You may want to check your definition of what blackmail means. Should be able to find it in a 2nd grade level dictionary.

Linda, an accuser should have some facts to back it up. Since you recklessly accuse President Bush of being a murderer, it is you that should be tried in court for liable, slander and threats against the President. Throw in treason too, maybe they will HANG YOU upon a guilty verdict. Hopefully the Secret Service will be on to you. You sound very dangerous. You have the nerve to say "pray for our new leader" and "God bless America"??? If you actually believe in the Almighty you would know that we are all made in His image including President George W. Bush! You slander God himself when you call our President a murderer!! Go get more talking points from your buddies Michael Moore, Hugo Chavez, Al Gore, Alec Baldwin and Jane Fonda. I feel sorry for you have pity on you.

So, now I get it. You delete any comments which are not supportive of George Bush. My last two comments were not in any way offensive but you deleted them! Are you going to delete this one too? Is this comment offensive?

God bless America and thank God that George Bush is on his way out. Is that offensive to the Journal? What exactly is it that you do not like? Perhaps you should make a list of all comments and opinions which you do not like so we only write what you want to hear. I hope other people read this post before you delete it.

"Maybe Carter should be charged for NOT taking care of American citizens in Iran, a year long hostage case that Reagan ended in one day."

Mel, Did you forget that Reagan arranged the sale of plane loads of arms to Iran in exchange for the hostages? Is is possible that those same arms have been used to kill American soldiers in Iraq? How easily people forget.

The issue is not whether this POTUS or that POTUS should have done this, or that, but rather - did the POTUS lie to all of us to get his way. Bush and company lied and got us into the quagmire in iraq. He needs to be tried for war crimes.
