Submitting birth announcements
Information typically included in birth announcements: Baby’s gender, full name, date of birth and parents’ names and city of residence; grandparents and city of residence; and great- and great-great-grandparents. Weight and length of baby at birth and siblings. **NEW** Starting February 1, 2011, you can add a photo of the baby or family for only $10. Submit the photo and announcement by noon Tuesday for publication the following Sunday.
A sample birth:
A daughter, Annie Mae, was born July 17, 2010, to Jake and Sarah Doe of Fergus Falls. She was 7 pounds, 6 inches and was 19 inches.
Grandparents are Dean and JoAnn Anderson and John and Emily Doe, all of Fergus Falls.
Great-grandparents are Kathy Smith of Fergus Falls, Harold and Mary Johnson of Long Prairie, and Genevieve McIntosh of Souix Falls, S.D.
She was welcomed home by a brother, Josh, and a sister, Hannah.
