Looks to me like Mr. Wilson is a professional politician.

Is anyone else bothered that all these posts turn into an argument with Jamie Cooper? Let's just stick to discussing the topic!

Wow! Finally somebody who can eloquently tell it like it is! You are right on the money with the statement that Fergus Falls lives in the past. 'Nuff said.

Remember when Butch, the Parks Director, worked for the City? He started growing seeds in January for the City flower beds. The City always looked so good. But then the Administrator got a "mad on" for Butch and Butch was fired. I wonder where the City gets their bedding plants now?

This community will NEVER move forward. I'm convinced Fergus Falls loves to be the victim. What a shame.

metasonics: If you think you would be a good Councilmember, you'd better offer more than just "being in favor of real opportunities" for Fergus Falls. EVERYBODY is in FAVOR of real opportunities. We need elected official who can FIND real opportunities. Big difference.

I'll admit I've never been good at math, but WHAT adds up to Ben being a democrat?
I hope someone else enters the race, though. A contest brings out more dialogue and different perspectives. It's nice to have a choice of who to vote for.

prowler: If I still lived within the City limits of Fergus Falls, I would go for it.

FINALLY, Mayor Anderson is stepping down. When he took over the term of former Mayor Ferber, the agreement was that he would ONLY fill out the term and not seek re-election. Not exactly a man of his word, in my opinion.
For all of you out there who are constantly belly-aching about how the City is run; put up or shut up! Serving in public office may be the most rewarding thing you will have the opportunity to do. Filing opens August 26.

Ms. Bauck should be dipped in a chemical for swine as she IS swine. May she NEVER, EVER be allowed to have contact with any animal again. These charges should not be dropped.
Significant economic disadvantage? Please. Ms. Bauck sounds as though she would be better suited to work at the Pelican turkey plant as she seems intent on seeing animals suffer. Remove this post...I dare you.
