Uhm........it is the 21st Century folks. I suppose they could get 2 x 4's and a piece of plywood and make a nice sign. Now that wouldn't be distracting.

Interesting comment FergusFamily except that the "seller" in this situation is the City. As a public entity they have a responsibility to treat all citizens equally. The citizens "purchased" city water and sewer from the City but when purchasing this product were not told they were getting a lesser quality item than what was available to the rest of the City at the same price as what others purchased this product for. So maybe you are correct "buyer beware" of the City and what they are selling.

It is unfortunate the City and/or Council people were not more progressive in their thinking at the time the current water main system was installed. The comments that were made last night, by the City Council, shows they still lack the insight as what the issues are. One Council persons comment that the lots and homes are subpar shows a lack of concern for a large portion of the community. If these homes were built on subpar lots then why are the homes assessed at the same values and taxed at the same rate. I think this comment was quite ignorant for a person who claims to be representing our community. Those people who built new homes in the Hilltop area were not given any break on special assessments to bring in the water, sewer etc. The City can say there was never a plan to build a water tower on the south side of town but many residents can dispute this as it was discussion point for several years until the other water towers popped up on the north side of town. I also believe that if the City can look at a $600,000 plan to drain Pebble Lake, which would benefit only a few homeowners then the City can look at a plan to benefit a greater population for an extended period of time. Eventually Pebble Lake water levels will decrease, this may take a couple years, but there is no way to get increased water pressure naturally. If there is no hope for a better water pressure system then I would think the City would not allow for any more development in this area.

I think we forget about our responsibilities as thinking, rational human beings. This isn't about the owner or the dog it is about protecting other innocent people. As a thinking human being you need to get past the point it is pet and remember it is an animal that obviously has a tendency to bite. I have been there and after my cocker spaniel "nipped" me for the second time I put it to sleep. It is not worth the price of someone getting hurt and possibly disfigured
On Council deems dog dangerous
