Ahhhhh yes. What real flying is all about. You never forget the smell, the noise the power. But some of the old birds were tricky buggers too-you could kill yourself very easily! HA!

I believe you will find the primary reason this action is needed, and I am VERY reluctant to establish a funding measure in this manner, is that money outdoors people THOUGHT was going to fish and game programs is being regularly raked off into other projects. It was one of the first things I discovered about the state when I returned. Take the time. Read the statutes and watch the budget-you'll see what I mean. Outdoors people in MN are routinely being screwed by their politicians and that is why THIS method of funding is before us.

Ubetcha, I think you missed my point. If SOMEBODY does not get on top of this and get the ACTUAL facts out you then create a situation where all sorts of bad things might happen. I did not suggest that anybody try to "hide" things-just the opposite.
Sorry but I can't fathom your reasoning?

The medical folks, police and community leaders should IMMEDIATELY jump all over this by disclosing WHAT is going on and, if it is indeed an MD, WHICH doctor it is. The rumor mill is going to besmirch the reputations of both entities. The longer this goes on unresolved the more it is going to hurt the community.
Somebody with some smarts better quickly figure out how to do this without opening the businesses or the community to legal action.
Baaaaad situation here folks!

Good people who have done some nice work in the area. And some of what they engineered has been fairly complex stuff. Pleasant experience working with them.

This was pretty much a forgone vote. In my opinion the issue was very poorly managed. The language of the ordinance was not precise enough so affected parties knew where they stood.
The problem with pursuing an issue in a sloppy manner is that you make it much more difficult to acheive your goal on future attempts.
Sloppy.

What F.Falls really needs is a supermarket with reasonable prices and more than two checkers on duty at one time. At present, you can pay $4 for a box of cereal at the "big" store or drive half a mile and by it at Wal Mart for a dollar or more less. Or buy a can of sardines for almost TWO dollars less at Wal Mart.

You'll find out just how "free" it is when your electric energy bills go DOWN! Anybody wanna bet on when THAT will be.
Well, at least this won't be the financial debacle shaping up for the "corn gas revolution." Ha!! Wanna tell me again how GREAT that's gonna be.

Hey Ghost.....I think you'll find that a great many people are living on lakes because the family has owned the land for decades. If they had to BUY it today they would be in the same situation you describe.
I know some folks who live on land their grandfather bought 80-years ago.
And I suppose we all understand how you feel about the "rich folks" coming in and buying lakefront land. They also buy up all the best hunting land and the best ranch land out west and the best beachfront in Hawaii.
The problem you and I have is we ain't rich and probably ain't gonna get there either!
Life is GREAT.....but it isn't always fair!
