That's funny ibejim, I don't remember voting for Pelosi and the rest of the spending spree nuts that have been on the hill for those years. And I sure didn't vote for the biggest enable of inflation, taxes, and spending in the worlds history either. But whatever, it'll be fun, I'm sure.

When you add the total Income Tax collected for the entire state you get $6,543,677,651
When you add the total collected in Anoka, Carver, Ramsey, Hennepin, Dakota, Scott, and Washington, you get $4,378,802,744
Simple Ratio indicates that 66.92% (rounded) of the Income Taxes collected were from the Seven Country Metro Area.

If only 60% of those tax dollars are spent in the Metro Area, then 6.92 percent of the revenue is being re-directed to OUTSTATE spending. Who is benefiting? and WHO isn't carrying their own weight?

Why is he pushing for Poltergeist?

As for Metro versus outstate or Greater MN, what's in a name or label?

If it's true that 60% of all taxes taken in in the state are spent in the metro area....What percent of the taxes taken in were collected from the Metro area? 70%, 80%, 90%? What is the average income level for Greater MN, compared to Metro MN? What percentage of the MN population lives in Metro, vs greater MN?

Don't get me wrong, I love being in greater MN. It seems like all the real power and money affecting decisions for the state however come from the Metro Area.

$750K, that seems like a lot-o-clams, let's not waste too many of them on studies and grandious ideas. The Lake was Nice in the late 70's, it could be excellent. Make some improvements on the shoreline/sidewalks/roads, chase the egrets/cormorants away, replant the Islands with growing vegitation. Spend some $ on solutions for cleaning up the water (some). I don't think we'll ever see a day when anyone can swim in there, but canoes or paddleboats would be nice. And YES a controlled population of ducks and geese adds to the beauty of the area.

No Cooper YOU would be better off somewhere else. This town obviously has done you wrong. Use 10 of those supposed IQ points and change it up already.

Therein lies the problem. Some of us have learned why we were once so unhappy, others cannot even bring themselves to consider the possibility. Everyone has troubles, it is a matter of how one chooses to face them while dealing with life and the people around them.

This is not a day to dwell on Linda Ronstadt, get yourself out of the house, away from the keyboard, into the sunshine. It is a wonderful day to take walk around lake alice and enjoy the flora/fauna while looking for signs of spring and renewal.

Make a deal with yourself today, to put aside all that baggage from your past. Leave yourself a note before you go to bed so that when you wake up tomorrow, you will not spend a second of that day re-living the things you left behind today.

Lake Alice should become an area that represents Fergus Falls to its visitors. This is a wonderful city with lots of natural beauty (which I suppose many take for granted). However Lake Alice has become one of the The Biggest eye-sores in the area, and we don't seem to care. Goodbye to those tree killing varmits.

Let's find a way to convert this resource into a destination for people and a prize for the city.

As for the Kirkbride, I can think of one who should become a resident, provided there are at least two white coats in attendance and treatment on the agenda.
