edrule3 - my vote for the victor of the back and forth banter is tbag - hands down. Declaring YOURSELF the victor doesn't quite cut it. At least tbag had some substance to his posts and not just hyperbole. In case you didn't bother to read tbag's last post, he told you he was through dealing with you. Good riddance to you.

I totally agree with you TheVikingman. I am a firm believer in tipping someone quite well if they do a good job. I will also tell them and/or their manager if I think they are doing a good job. The same goes for one of those surly/rude servers. I will tell them and/or their manager that their service is subpar. The notion of an expected tip is ludicrous. To me, tips are like respect. You don't "get" them/it, you "earn" them/it.

I agree with you thinker. Ride a bike indeed! What a joke. I may have missed something, but as far as I know the US Presidency isn't a dictatorship. How anyone can truly believe that one man can control the price of a barrel of oil is laughable. While I agree that we need to get aggressive with the development of alternative fuels I also believe we need to get aggressive with domestic drilling to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. If AMYO wants to ride her bike and can't wait for oil to hit $200 a barrel that's her problem. Just don't expect me to join in on the excitement.

Honestly, without the comments I most likely will not be a regular viewer of the Journal on-line. The content generally isn't enough to stand on it's own. The comments add a considerable amount of interesting info - be it good, bad, or otherwise. If the comments go I am inclined to agree with Lookitup - Adios!

Hunting is not animal abuse - it is animal control. Without hunting to keep the population in check you and Mr. Ebbighausen would probably have a much different opinion of the goose. Don't take this the wrong way. I love the beauty of wildlife, but I also see the need for hunting to control the population and lessen the threat of disease that overpopulation presents.

I agree with Mel - what is racist about having English as the official language? Just because I prefer that people living in America speak English doesn't make me racist or mean that I am "afraid" of something. Elizabeth - I may not be as "intelligent" as you, but I do know that there are other English speaking countries in the world. In fact, I have visited a few and have not found one that I would rather live in. If you had taken the time to actually read my short blurb you would have caught the "non-English speaking" reference.
