My family and I have bought quite a few flags to honor our family members that have served our country! I am very honored that this service is available to our heros! It is such a beautiful sight to see when you drive around the city! Thanks again!

melissa and bobangles...boy can we say FRIENDS! It's funny how you both know what's going on in her life...but I got news! You both are WRONG! If you are going to throw accusations at someone then you need to have proof...and you both have assumed crap that is just not the truth!
Instead of blaming her for having a problem and fixing herself you rip on her. Yet the father of her son has the same problem and you both stick up for him. Can you please tell me when the last time he called his son was..without Jana having to call him and remind him???? Can you both also tell me what Jana has said to her son that degrades his dad? HOw is this Jana or her sons fault for his father having a problem that he can't and won't fix....point proven..he's in PRISON! So please answer me this...what is the boys father going to say to him when he gets older and asks.....dad, why didn't you love me? dad, why didn't you call for me? dad, why didn't you let me come to your house and meet my new siblings? dad, why does your new wife hate me? Shall I keep going or do I need to just spell it out...dead-beat-dad!!!!!!!!!!!
This situation she wrote about not only pertains to this loser, but all the other ones that choose to drink and drive, do drugs and everything else. He should have to support his son, regaardless, if he's in prison or not. So shall all other losers that break the law. I feel no pitty for people that break the law and go to jail. Infact, I can't wait till I can one day put them behind bars myself. So if you two have nothing better to do than to air Jana's dirty laundry, while she is trying to help other custodial parents like us...move along back to the underwood bar!

melissa~ I think that you have a poor choice in words. Who are you to air her dirty laundry when all she is trying to do is make the state see that they are wasting their money on these losers! YES LOSERS!! I for one also know her personally and am very proud of her to take such a step as this. To re-gain her life back unlike some, who continually make poor choices in thier lifes. And can you tell me when he has ever been a dad to him?????? So before you go rapping off the mouth on her dirty laundry you better get the whole story, on what a dead-beat he is!
Unlikely~ I can totally see where you are coming from..but this is a no win situation! If you listen to people it is always well you laid down with him to have sex this is your responsibility, if we have an abortion then we are murderers, and if take birth control then the churches say we have sinned....I guess all of our children are supposed to be mistakes. Well, not mine and I am guessing certainly not yours?
However, I will not take this lying down. If my daughters sperm donor...yes sperm donor won't pay I will follow him and stay on OTC butt until he does. The more hard I am on him and child support the more results I get.
I was also once told by a child support officer that if we don't care about the case and don't call to see what's going on, your case is put on the back burner..so to say! There is no way I will let this loser rule my daughter's or my life by having control of our financial situation! He will pay. In fact, I myself am thinking of going back to school to study law and fight for these children's rights!

I understand the anger and the frustration that goes along with child supprt cases. However, when you do propose facts on how to change things in the child support system, it falls on deaf ears! I have met many times with Bud Nornes and presented him with changes also, mostly to the interstate systems, as that is my trouble. He seems interested at the time and always get the same response.."there is no time this session to put it on the schedule". We even suggested a committee to start making this system fair, but will it ever be? I doubt, it is so man friendly, it is sad!
The father of my child has gone from job to job, state to state and jail to jail, but yet as long as he pays a minumum (not the full amount of current support..just a portion of it) then he is not brought back into court. In fact, I was told by a child support worker that as long as I was getting somehting I should be happy, and that I will just have to wait for his social security! BULL!!!
This system is a HUGE joke. I could bring you all documentation on how bad this system operates. I have quoted the laws several time to OTC child support and they choose to follow their own laws "policies" as they call them, and because of that, the non-custodial parent has fallen further and further into debt. So once again my daughter suffers and they don't care!
Elizabeth~ We have lots of proposals on quite a few different things to change these issues, but they still don't do us any good. If you have the experience feel free to give the advice as I will listen! I think that it is high time that Child support steps up to the plate and take action against these dead-beat parents! We could almost wipe out the cash portion on welfare if child support took major action against these dead-beats!

I am not sure if you have a child supprt case or not, but if you do and you have a non-cusodial parent that goes to jail for a period of time, then they can fill out a paper in jail and have their child support forgiven for the period of time they are confined.
As soon as the non-custodial parents are inmates, they are taken to a class where they are told if they owe child supprt to fill out this paper and while they are incarcerated they will not have to pay the support until they are realeased. The statue quoted, may either be quoted wrong, or this is the statue that the judge will go off! As for arrears..it also can be forgiven if the judge sees it fit!
I also believe that this law does reward these criminals and think it is high time someone starts speaking out on how this child support system is a joke!
So it does look like Ms Frerichs is right!

My daughter goes to one of these schools and comes home quite often with stories of these kids bullying other kids. It is sad and I agree that it does start at home. Our children are our future and we need to teach them to be kind to others. I also agree that we need to teach it more in the middle and senior high schools, especially since it won't be to long before the schools are put together.

How sad Fergus Falls has become. One prank and the child is deemed a horrible child. I laugh at the prosecuters in this case, and feel they are taking this too far. It wasn't to long ago I was in High school here and remember quite a few pranks that were pulled and not once did any one go to Juvie for these. How many times was Atchison's house egged or tomatoed....come on a prank is a prank. But like someone else said if you are not one of the Fergus Elite you can forget about any special treatment here in Fergus. If your mommy and daddy don't work at the court house or have that last name that means something, prosecutors will prosecute you to the fullest. I can remember in high school that if your daddy was a cop here in Fergus you could do anything and get away with it. I know quite a few cops sons that have done things WAY more serious than a streak and have gotten away with it. I am so glad that I am packing up my house and leaving Fergus with my family. I am ashamed of my home town and how the elite people have chosen to run this place. I will not subject my children to this "blue brother code" and this "elite" bull crap anymore. My children should not have to put up with people like them. I am a christian and I believe that you all will have to answer to God for the way you have treated people and how you all think that you are better than everyone! If I were everyone else I would pack up my family and move...far away. I don't care if this kid streaked or not...God will forgive him and so will the rest of us. This child does not deserve a record because of one dumb mistake....but I'm sure the prosecutors here in Fergus will make him pay for the rest of his life...because they are somebody in the great bully town of Fergus Falls Minnesota!
