I am all for helping the golf course, yes the April weather has not helped one bit. However, I do think the problem is way more than the late snow. There isn't another golf course within 15 miles of Pebble yet it struggles. Pebble needs to give people a reason to go there and spend their money, make it an experience. Look at the towns around us. Alexandria has 3 golf courses, DL has 3, Park Rapids has 2, Perham has 27 holes. Pebble needs to be able to figure out a way to attract people.

The rink at Broadway park is also empty. It is basically used for dogs to do their business in. In the summer that park is packed with kids for little league.

Kris good call. Keep in mind that the hospital is the largest employer in the entire county, and probably provides more donations and tax dollars than any business in Fergus. Why do people in this town complain so much?

Well said wwjdt. Local administrators don't have a lot of control over things like budget cuts etc... How anyone could post a negative comment about this story is amazing. Four more teachers have jobs and have the chance to make a difference in our kids education.
