I once took a van from Alexandria to the MSP airport. And the entire time one passenger had to keep the driver engaged in a conversation, because his eyes kept falling shut, which we could see in the rear view mirror.

Yes, the driver in that bus should not have been behind the wheel. But imagine this conversation:
Boss, could you schedule another driver please
why? the other driver can do it by himself. are you too old?

It's typical that only the driver gets charged, not those who make him do the entire trip by himself.

This is so beautiful. In list of architecture I would place it somewhere between the Taj Mahal and the Pissoir at the SW corner of the Place Pigalle in Paris.

As a native speaker of a different language I think I shouldn't have learned English, because I could have avoided reading things like:

"Any politician who votes against English as our official language is a trader & should be punished as such."

Heritage89: Take it from someone who knows English as a 3rd language - The word is 'traitor'.

Calling all who???? "Philosophists" ??????

I pull out the dictionary. Much to my surprise the word exists, it means:

"Pretender in Philosophy".

I wonder if there is a word for "Pretender in Newspaper"

Global:
Here are a few facts for your consideration:

- roughly 4 percent of the world population use roughly 25% of its energy resources (probably "because they can")

- Chevrolet, Mr. Brimhall's brand, recently and after decades lost the #1 spot to Toyota. Market 101. Why do you suppose that is? A communist conspiracy?

- It hasn't been very long since the FF city council openly discussed keeping businesses out (yes, you heard me, "out") of Fergus Falls, so that local employers wouldn't have to pay higher salaries. Check out Alexandria and all the other MN towns that 30 years ago were the same size or smaller than your lovely city, and then tell me again about market 101.
