Doctipster:
The teacher in question never had the opportunity to discuss the situation. He had the friendship and support of the majority of people who worked with him. Unfortunately, their voices were left unheard as they were not allowed to speak publicly about the alleged victim or the accuser. Don't assume everything you read in the Journal is fact. People don't just start abusing students after nearly 30 years of service.

I'm in exactly the opposite position. I'm a Democrat, and I have a tremendous respect for Bud. I think he is a very kind and generous person. He is actually the ONLY Republican I have ever voted for (I couldn't bring myself to vote for his challenger). That being said, this time around I will be voting for Mr. Stumbo.

I don't know about you, but I want that crap out of our community. Any undercover cop that is out there trying to get meth out of Ottertail county (which I believe is highly unlikely) is a hero. And while you may call someone a snitch for turning a person in, I think we should start giving out free trips to treatment and cash rewards for anyone who gives tips that lead to real meth and crack-cocaine arrests.

$85-$120/month is nothing considering gas prices.

What a great story... Well written, interesting, and positive... What's in the water at the Daily Journal?

Saddened? Than do something about this mess and vote for a Democratic governor... No new taxes means that local communities and school districts face increased economic strain. It is unfortunate when teachers such as Niki Welde and Barb Gutzmer (and many others), who have remained loyal to the district, face the threat of these cuts.
