I saw someone walking a dog in town during the summerfest with a muzzle.. Not only should aggressive dogs have them but so should people who force their opinions..

Not to take focus off the topic but the intersection at Target is one that could also benefit from some attention.

Give someone fuel and tools to start a fire and look at all the arsonists we have in our community..
It aggravates me to see someone post a comment and then have it followed by someone trying to burn them down.
I think the message here is that the noise levels are getting louder but I find the sound of the crotch rockets more noticeable than the slow rumble of someone casually riding their cruiser. On the other hand, even those bikes can get loud if you want them to be. That is the issue being addressed and even mentioned in the artical that only a few of you seem to have captured.
I quote..
“But it’s obvious when people have absolutely no concern for the noise they’re making.”
ANY vehicle.. bike or car running near red-line is going to be loud. Keep the R's down in town and there isn't a problem for anyone. If you can't, then the problem isn't with the city, state or government its the inability to be considerate of others which is the main point that is being missed everywhere.. even here on the journal website.

Carol Hilden from Fergus Falls also ran the half marathon. I do not recall her time. Congrats Carol!

The years that I have been on this run it was quite contrary to the previous poster. There are scheduled stops but I wouldn't say that it was "quite a few". As I recall, it has been 3 stops that are long enough for 200 people to use the bathroom.

I was on 7 benefit runs last year and they were all conducted very professionally with the courses pre-run prior to the actual ride to ensure riders safety. Speeds were at or under the speed limit. There is a reason behind the number of stops and the amount of time at each stop, it does discourage the activity mentioned by horseygirl and its pretty much standard for the runs that I go on. Hospice being one of them. I would consider myself one of the riders that feels safe on this one.

If jail was the outcome.. make work release a requirement with the sentence term being however long it took to pay the arears plus interest.
I like that thought as well as the one where all welfare recipients be subject to random drug screening.

My sympathy goes out to the family for the loss of their home. Shame on those of you who have chosen to persue off topic discussion, how do you sleep at night?

As explained by AndyMosity and perhaps as a lesson that others can learn from..
If someone wants to get into your vehicle bad enough they will find a way and that is wether the doors are locked or not. If I wanted to have something ripped off, I would leave it in my vehicle. My car doors are never locked, then again, I never leave anything in my car that would warrant having it broken into in the first place. If someone wanted that pack of gum so desperately, I will let them have it and I won't have to replace my window.
