Find a different way to fund schools. This is ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure there would be an article about anyone who enters the mayoral race, Commycrat. You are pretty quick to lay the blame, though. Paranoid?

I am glad to see a fresh face entering the race - our town could really use him! Good luck, Ben!

I love downtown Fergus Falls; it's so charming. I had always wondered what that little building was.

Yay for Daniel, and boo to the DJ for their poor reporting on his mom. Last, I would strongly disgree that he "should be" sitting on the couch playing PS2 all summer. Anyone catch today's Strib article on the rate of obesity in the US? Daniel certainly shouldn't have to sell drinks on the road, but perhaps we could strive to more than keeping our kids on the couch all day.

It's unfortunate that just because a restaurant looks nicer than usual, so many residents of FF think it's expensive and pretentious. I had my wedding dinner at The Jazzy Fox and it was wonderful. They surprised us by having a saxophone and piano player there as well, and were very accommodating. Compared to nice restaurants basically anywhere else, their prices were inexpensive, and the food is great.
This seems to be another case of people being afraid of what they don't know... which seems to be a big issue in FF.

While watching movies takes some suspension of disbelief, that suspension ends when the movie is over. No rational person is going to negatively associate FF or the RTC with a "scary" movie. States compete for the chance to have movies filmed in their area, because it is such a boon to the local economy. Any business-minded individual should understand these things - it's not rocket science.

As a writer, I find it ridiculous that the author of this article put in the last paragraph. The article is about the boy raising money to pay the bills, not the mother's indiscretions. Write a separate article on her trouble if you must, but leave the boy out of it. How embarrassing for him. You've sunk too low this time, FFDJ.

Nice ending to your article, Joel. I'd say you have it pretty darn good. :)

It sounds like the dog was acting out of fear and protection. I own a dog of the same breed, and she is an absolute sweetheart to people of all ages, but if someone barged into our house and acted in a gruff manner, I wouldn't be surprised if she acted on it. That's what dogs do - it is their nature.
I agree with Bev - put up a fence, keep the dog inside, put the mailbox outside.
Brittany dogs (the breed of the dog) are not by any means violent. They do, however, instinctively protect their owners.
