I thought that there was already a law about this or atleast very similar to this.

I was told that if a party of underage drinkers gets busted that a persons property could be taken. Please, correct me if this is totally wrong and just someone trying to scare people.

And if there isn't already a law or something like it in place, I can understand the idea of wanting such an ordinance, but I think that there should be more thought into how to enforce it, instead of just rushing into an agreement on enforcing it.

I agree with LiteShine. The Boen's have been running a great service to our local communities for many years. Fresh products grown right here in Otter Tail County. They put in hard work year round just to profit for only 3 or 4 months. All this while each of them work other full time jobs and raising their family.
I work with Diane, and for 3 months every year, she takes time off from a steady paying job to help on the farm, deliver quality food to Fergus Falls and other communities such as; Battle Lake, Pelican Rapids, and even last year, to Detroit Lakes. It is upsetting to see that all this hard work is being treated like a rag you blow your nose on.
Some of you would know, that this is not the first year that The Boen's have had troubles with stealing. Last year I remember a number of times listening to Mark on the radio talk about this very problem.
How does anyone expect this hard working family to make any income in the summer months when they are getting short changed? They will be lucky this year to make any profit, with the price of gas, paying AND feeding their workers, and their utility bills that, I am sure, are higher because of an increase in the use of electricity in itself. How would anyone feel if this were happening to them?
Mark and Diane, I appreciate the hard work you and your workers put in everyday during the year to bring us quality, locally grown produce. I wish that some other people could appreciate it also.
Good Luck the rest of the Summer, and Diane...Can't wait to have you back at "your other job".

If you watch the press conference video from Brian Schlueter, you would know that they (OTC Sheriff's Dept)did not receive the call until about 4 p.m. yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

I am pretty sure, that because Kim is considered a Vulnerable Adult, that her last name could not be used in the article. Either way, CONGRATULATIONS Kim on your computer. I am sure she will put it to great use. And such a nice gift from LRH-CIS Department to give. Way to go!

As of today (monday) there STILL has not been a township plow on my road!!! My father in law made the only little path from our house to his, which is the next driveway down! I guess it is a good thing that it warmed up enough to melt the snow off the gravel, so everyone is able to go to work today. I wonder if the plow guys road was done? Hmmmmm...

It's great seeing our young community band together to help out a friend. These will be our future leaders...and I am proud to be a part of their community. Way to go!!! I hope you keep doing these sorts of selfless acts as you go through life.

As a mother of Underwood Students, Kurtisishere does make a great point. I won't flame you, because what goes around comes around, and I fully understand that. But, for now, I am still much happier with Underwood.
