Combining Battle Lake and Underwood was looked at some time ago for sports. Battle Lake and Henning combined rather than Underwood. I think the real underlying problem is the principal. He really doesn't know how to handle kids. Therefore, they go elsewhere now that we have open enrollment. Battle Lake has a great school with great teachers. They have some great elective classes especially for the guys. It is unfortunate that they are having to make cutbacks. Things seem slim already. Back to the Underwood combination. Underwood and Battle Lake have been rivals for so many years...it probably wouldn't be a good idea, thus the combo with Henning. Henning and Battle Lake would make more sense if push came to shove. Hopefully, that won't have to happen. Sorry to the English majors if my grammer be incorrect!

Codei must have fallen and bumped his head to be that upset that Wal-Mart exists in the world today. It must take a lot of energy to hate something that much. I only hope you also use that passionate energy and spend it on something fantastic such as breast cancer research. You would be a wonderful asset to a great cause such as that.

Unfortunately, I agree with some of the things people are saying about Wal-Mart. I have always liked Wal-Mart but have found that my shopping experience at Target is much more satisfying. This is due mostly to the cleaner atmostphere. I didn't shop at Target for quite some time after they opened due to the intersection going into Target which is still a nightmare. One of the main reasons I quit going to Wal-Mart was because it seemed like everytime I went in there, the guy with the floor machine was buzzing up and down the aisles without any regard to any of the customers. How annoying, it was loud, and he required the customer to move out of his way. This was done during the day I might add...not during the graveyard hours as one might think. The remodeling they have done is nice and cleaned it up a little. The bathrooms are nasty to say the least. I hope with all of these letters and the remodel coming soon the company will take it to heart and do something about it. I don't dislike Wal-Mart and would like to see it cleaned up and shoppable again.

I happen to have had my own run in with Ms. Bobence as she tried to have me fired from my job when she was dating my ex husband for a short time many years ago. I agree that Ms. Bobence hasn't made the best choices for her sons future. The bills getting paid shouldn't be for a child to worry about. I raise more than one child and do ok although hard times are a constant. (I also have fibromyalgia.) I just make different choices. Hopefully, better ones. Her indiscretions SHOULD NOT put on an innocent child. Shame on you DJ! What a wonderful thing Daniel is doing! He should be commended for making better choices than his mother. This only shows that he has learned from someone else's mistakes. I am not necessarily in agreement with the PS purchase but hey, he has been diligent and worked hard for that. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't cast stones. Great job, Daniel! Continue to take care of your Mom, she is the only one you'll ever have and she loves you very much! God bless and keep you!
