So, you're saying that nursing homes should be paid more? Well, I'll go along with that as soon as they begin to earn what they get paid. For them to be paid from $3,500 to almost $5,000 per month for the service they give borders on robbery. Just visit a loved one in a home and you'll find it's also common to see a resident trying to get an aide's attention for some assistance for over a half hour. It's little wonder that the private extended care facilities are becoming popular for the elderly. They do provide a good service and care.

I totally agree. We seem to see way too much of the major government projects going to non local contractors.

I believe that the redemption period on this type of loan is 6 months, not one year. If they are banking on a year from this March they probably have a shock ahead of them.

Based on what Blixx said, the person making 24,000 per year would be paying taxes on 24,000. Let me think......isn't he paying taxes on 24,000 right now. And then, about the millionare..... if a person now makes that money he probably does the smart thing and pay taxes on nothing, or very little. But, on fair tax, if he spends 200,000 of that million then he's paying taxes on that 200,000.

This retreat thing is always something that I question. Why is it necessary for the board to spend the tax dollars on a retreat to talk about something they could discuss at meetings right here?

Wow.......if you want to read some juvenile jibberish and totally worthless junk, click on the link to the chipmunk's jottings. And BobWilliams recommends it? That sure doesn't compliment him.
I actually was so foolish to think maybe there was something constructive and good to be read there. Foolish me!

Wow. Somehow it appears Mr. Herzog is well known in the real estate world and as a pastor. But, being well known like he is I would not consider a compliment.

That's an interesting comment from tomsmom. I have known several people that have lived in their units and have heard the same comment several times. Maybe it's to take in the money but not spending it on the rentals that is a priority.

Unbelievable is all I can say. They reduced it from $5.25 to $4.25 because they had no cost for the ingredients for the food? How generous. NOT

As I proceed with plans which need space that could be provided by the Bigwood I will remind myself to not even bother contacting them. The VFW, Eagles and other places are much more accomodating and fair anyway.
