Here is a thought. Why don't we, as a community, try to find a solution for helping this struggling district. I can assure you threatening to send your kids to Underwood or O.L.V. does not make the situation better.

Jerry, your just another cog in the wheel of global unification. When Europe does invade, which they will, our stop lights and intersections will be the only line of defense. Sure, for now its just a simple roundabout. Soon they'll confiscate our coffee and serving us Earl Grey Tea. Next to go will be our coveted left-side steering wheels. Don't you see, this is only the beginning. This is nation building in its truest sense and this city is a co-conspirator.

Europe Sucks. So do Roundabouts. My car gets forty rods to the hogs head and I like it that way. USA! USA! USA!

If we as community members want an ally, we better start contacting the businesses who advertise on those stations. Start local. Minnesota Motors advertises on those networks. Then call a Fargo business like Hornbacher's. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to call KVLY and ask why they've chosen to alienate thousands of consumers during the Holiday Season. Both of these businesses have "Contact Us" links on their websites. Let them know what you think.

What will really be interesting is to see what kind of major problems "President Lunatic" will create in the last year of his term. Is there anything left to screw up?

"A false sense of security." If that is the argument then aren't all crosswalks A false sense of security. Don't we have an obligation to protect our community members? I suppose we could wait until somebody gets hurt. Retroactive thinking is generally the best approach.

"Where will it all end?" Classic defense, thanks markc. You smokers are defending smoking as though it is a harmless, whimsical pastime. markc just noted, referring to the ban, "its going to go on to your car and your home." That is exactly where it should go. Consider this little gem we've all witnessed, the 6 month old asthmatic child strapped into a car seat, with Mr. and Mrs. Virginia Slim in the front seat smoking away. If it is all about civil liberties, where is that child's right to not participate in that sadistic little morning ritual. You can bet we're coming for the cars.

If we're such Nazi's maybe you should consider liberating yourselves. Move to Angle Inlet. Secede from the state with the rest of the "free-thinkers", and have your own little smoking commune. Camel Joe can be your national mascot and the Marlboro Man can be your President. Oh yah, he's dead. Cancer wasn't it?

The trouble with building sand castles is that pretty soon the waves wash them away. If these homeowners couldn't predict the water would rise, that is their problem. You wanted a beach front home. Well, you've got one.
