Beach running a heated grind

So during my week in Mexico, I decided to continue to run. However, after my first run of about four or five miles, it was clear that I had to make a couple of tweaks in the way I did my running.
1.) Run in the morning. My first morning, I started at about 8:30, and barely made it back. When that 85 degree Mexican sun came out, it made running a rather difficult chore. By starting at 7 a.m., it was light out, but the sun didn't peek out yet, which made things much easier.
2.) Run on the beach. It's just too hot on the road, and there were far too many dogs barking at me, running after me, and threatening to take my leg off for stepping on their turf.
3.) Cut back on the scheduled mileage. Beach running is squishy and harder work than pavement, and the heat makes it difficult as well.
That said, the runs were pretty cool. Nothing like looking out at the Pacific Ocean, watching the waves crash in while running. I came upon some cool-looking ocean things as well, like a huge turtle and a crablike thing.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun.
