Rough weekend

So my week went really well on several fronts. Despite the New Year's holiday, I worked out every day. I even mixed it up a lot, doing the eliptical machine one day, running another, doing a little of my wife's yoga, and bowling twice, to top it all off.
As usual, I'm eating well at breakfast, having the right snacks, and consuming lots of vegetables.
This weekend, however, I had to deal with something I both love and dread -- going out to eat at a restaurant.
Friday night, I started out well, ordering fish and a baked potato. I even ate the potato skin. But then I ate leftovers from my wife and sister-in-law. Then I ordered a dessert wine, and then I ate some of their desserts. I knew what had started well went bad.
Saturday night hurt even more. Big pizzas, and because we ordered for a whole group, and unlimited supply. Combined with the beer, I knew by the time I had finished -- I neglected to figure out how many big pieces I ate, but I'm sure it was probably five -- I had consumed far more calories than I should have.
I was better Sunday night. I felt a little hungry going to bed, which I thought was good, because it meant I didn't stuff myself at dinner. But still, I'm sure my calorie count was too high, and my weight loss was at a stall again.
Just keep plugging, right?
