Though I did not win the challenge I did lose 16 pounds and lowered my bad cholesterol level by 35 points. Unfortunately, bad habits are hard to break and half the weight has returned along with little to no exercise.

One thing that really appealed to me about the Athletic Republic program was the opportunity to work with a personal trainer. It is easy to quit early or skip an exercise when no one is watching. That is not the case with Natalie who has been my trainer for my first three workouts. She schedules a routine that fits my current fitness level and offers encouragement to get you to do that one or two more additional reps. The first couple workouts have been pretty tough but I keep thinking positive because, in the end, I know it will be worth it.

Hey, where were you for our Friday work out? I thought you were teasing when you said you were going to take the day off. :-)
