AURDAL TOWNSHIP

RENEWABLE ENERGY

ZONING ORDINANCE

At its meeting on February 11, 2021, the Town Board adopted Ordinance No. 5, the Renewable Energy Zoning Ordinance. The Ordinance was enacted as part of the Township's zoning regulations and that establish a process for permitting solar energy systems and wind energy conversion systems, adopting definitions applicable to solar energy systems and wind energy conversion systems, adopting permit requirements and performance standards and regulations for solar energy systems and wind energy conversion systems, including, but not limited to, location, setbacks, vegetation, and screening requirements and decommissioning plan requirements. The Ordinance also provides for enforcement of the regulations. A copy of the Ordinance is available at the Fergus Falls Public Library, the Otter Tail County Law Library, and a copy may be obtained by contacting the Town Clerk.
