REGARDING PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX

ABATEMENTS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Fergus Falls City Council will hold a public hearing at a meeting of the City Council at 5:30 PM on Monday, April 6, 2020, to be held in the City Council Chambers at 112 W Washington Ave, Fergus Falls, MN 56537 to consider a tax abatement request from the following named applicants pursuant to Minnesota Statute 469.1813 and 116J.993 through 116J.995. The requests are to abate 100% of the increase to the City of Fergus Falls portion of real estate taxes related to the residential building improvements on the subject properties for a period of up to 5 years.

A person with residence in or the owner of taxable property in the granting jurisdiction may file a written complaint with the City if the City fails to comply with Sections 116J.993 to 116J.995, and no action may be filed against the City for the failure to comply unless a written complaint is filed.
