Separate sealed Bids for the construction of building upgrades to Lincoln School in Fergus
Falls, MN. To be received by Fergus Falls Public Schools, 601 Randolph Avenue, Fergus
Falls, Mn 56537 until 3:00 PM, Central Time, Thursday, April 09, 2020. At which time the
bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in the Fergus Falls Public Schools Otter Community Room. Bids may be mailed or delivered to the above address.
A Single Prime Bid will be received for all Work.
Sales Tax Exemption Notice: The Project should not be considered tax exempt.

A preconstruction meeting will be scheduled by the Owner after contract has been awarded. Contractor in receipt of awarded bid along with any/all subcontractors shall attend.
All bids shall be in accordance with Bidding Documents prepared by Design Intent Architects, 103 E. Lincoln Avenue, Fergus Falls, MN 56537. Phone: 218.736.4733
Bidding Documents may be downloaded for a non-refundable charge of $15.00. Plan
holders are parties that have downloaded the Drawings and Specifications. Plan Holders
will be notified via email as addenda are issued. Parties that download the Drawings and
Specifications and need to have them printed elsewhere are solely responsible for those
printing costs. The sales of paper copies for projects listed on this site are not available.

Each Contractor shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Material and Labor
Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Amount.
Submit your offer on the Bid Form included in the Bidding Documents.
The Work shall commence on or around April 15, 2020
Bids must be accompanied by bidder’s bond or certified check made payable to the Fergus
Falls Public Schools, in the amount of five percent (5%) of Base Bid submitted.
Sealed bids must be marked:

Pre-Bid walk-through will be held at the Project location: 2300 College Way, Fergus Falls,
MN 56537 (old Target Building) on Tuesday March 31, 2020 at 1:30 PM. All interest bidders shall attend or make special arrangements with the Owner at the Owner’s convenience. The Owner is not obligated to meet at other time/dates than listed above.

All interested bidders shall visit the project site to obtain firsthand knowledge of existing
conditions, including existing utilities and services, obstacles that may be encountered
and all other conditions relative to the Work to be performed that may or may not be shown
within the Contract Documents.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in the
discretion of the Owner, the interest of the Owner will be best served thereby. The Owner
further reserves the right to hold all legitimate proposals for a period of thirty (30) days after
the date fixed for the opening thereof without exception.

Awarded Contractors shall not receive extra payments for conditions that can be determined by examining the site and Contract Documents in their entirety.
