Sister Arnold Ritchey, a member of the Sisters of Saint Francis of Rochester, will celebrate her Golden Jubilee with the Congregation on Aug. 2.
Born Priscilla Joy in Fergus Falls, she entered the Rochester Franciscan Congregation from Our Lady of Victory Parish, Fergus Falls. Ritchey received a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the College of Saint Teresa, Winona.
She taught in schools in Austin, Fairmont, Sleepy Eye, Waseca, and Rochester, as well as Watertown, South Dakota, and Santa Ana, California. Ritchey also spent time as program director for a “Before and After School” care program, as a paraprofessional to a reading specialist, and as a healing touch spiritual ministry practitioner. Currently, Ritchey lives in El Paso, Texas, and serves as a companion and volunteer.
