Lake Region Arts Council is once again offering regional high school students in grades 9-11 the opportunity to study an area of the arts (music, dance, literary arts, theater, visual art, architecture, media arts, costume design, etc.) with a professional artist this summer, 2020! The LRAC Arts Mentorship Program matches students with professional artists who will mentor the students for 15 hours this summer. Students also have the option to attend any Minnesota arts workshop or summer class. Either option allows students to expand their artistic skills and explore new disciplines.

The deadline to apply is Jan. 22, 2020.

The awards are based on the student's application and an in person audition with a panel of professional artists. The auditions will be held on March 7, 2020 at Underwood High School.  Eligible students must live in Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse or Wilkin counties.

The arts mentorship program scholarship is a great opportunity. Please share this information with any young artists who could benefit from studying with a mentor.
