ALL SMILES: Jenna, Hallie and Tyler Lovgren with LRH's New Year baby, Bryson Lovgren, born on Jan. 2, 2022 at 9:44 p.m.

Every year, at the very beginning of January, the Daily Journal looks forward to announcing the first baby born in the new year.

Many of the nurses at Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) anxiously awaited for the first newcomer of the year — they didn’t have to wait long.

Tyler and Jenna Lovgren of Wahpeton welcomed their first baby boy, Bryson Gary Lovgren at 9:44 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 2. Bryson was the first baby to be born at LRH in 2022. He was born 16 days before his due date, yet the healthy little one weighed in at 7 pounds and 12 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

Bryson was welcomed by his proud big sister, Hallie.

Jenna shared that their experience at LRH was great and that the team that helped her deliver new baby Bryson was “wonderful.”

The LRH Women’s and Children’s Health Center gifted the happy family with a gift basket of goodies, toys, clothes and a Moby wrap to help celebrate the New Year baby.

Congratulations Tyler, Jenna and Hallie and welcome to the world, Bryson!
