Greater Fergus Falls (GFF) has been diligently working toward establishing a strategic framework that is action-oriented and goal-driven, yet flexible and adaptive for evolving economic changes. Our staff and board of directors are dedicated to working alongside businesses and advocating aggressively for their success.

Board member Dr. Carrie Brimhall, president of M State Community & Technical College says “Articulating the strategic framework for Greater Fergus Falls is a critical step that aligns our activities and initiatives with our vision. As a board, we want our staff to focus their energy and time on things that drive economic growth in Fergus Falls.”

Our multifaceted approach includes four primary goals with supporting objectives:

• Business development and attraction.

• Marketing and promotion.

• Leveraging partnerships.

CEO Annie Deckert says “We have a community full of thriving businesses, and it’s important we are doing everything in our power to support their success. With the nationally evolving retail climate and workforce shortage, our focus is to provide free technical assistance, support and education to ensure our current businesses can thrive. Our framework aligns with our mission, and not only provides staff direction on our daily activities but ensures our organization is leveraging other organizations and positioning ourselves for long-term sustainability. “

The mission at Greater Fergus Falls is to support and grow the area business community by retaining existing businesses, revitalizing the local economy, and recruiting new entrepreneurs and innovators.

The vision is to provide support to a vibrant business community through the removal of barriers for start-ups, expansions and ensuring the continued health of existing businesses in our area.

If you are an existing business, or a new business looking for assistance, GFF is an organization to provide expertise, resources, and support to achieve goals. GFF plans to formally launch its new programming this fall.
